Just so I'm clear, if we get right to the end of the phase, everyone has voted, and one candidate has more votes on them than anyone else BUT not an outright majority, would that person be lynched, or not?

Hi Jamie, welcome! Lynches work on majority here, so as soon as a majority is reached on a player, they are lynched. If no majority happens by deadline, then it is a no-lynch by default.

You can see in this VC (vote count) that it takes 7 to lynch so if you get to the 5th or 6th vote, the proper ettiquette is to announce L-2 or L-1 respectively. If a player is at L-1 and you intend to vote them or hammer; you need to announce intent to hammer PRIOR to voting them and allow time for a claim before hammering.
