I can see why he would vote Robb here but I can’t see why he would immediately unvote as town. Robb was declaring that he wasn’t going to do anything until Day 2. Suspecting someone for taking such a stance isn’t out of this world and I can’t see how the ambiguous and empty comment in response to Boon would take away that initial suspicion.‬

The point about 255 is laughable too. I'm supposed to reconsider my read on alisae because alisae told me that's it's not role indicative? If alisae is mafia, of course she's gonna say what she does is not role indicative. In the same sense that if I tell you that I'm 100% town this game because of my meta, you aren't going to believe it because it comes from me; however if there are a bunch of people that know my meta tell you that then maybe you'd believe it. No one confirmed that it's NAI so why would I believe her about it?

The boon read was that boon gave a big town list and I felt like mafia would leave themselves more question marks and not make so many town reads that early. I didn't really care about who he was town reading.

As for my preflip associations, I make them all the time regardless of role, but they've been pretty accurate. I don't remember the exact quote regarding the association between you, serg and the third person, but it was something that pinged me so I wrote about it. Can review it when I get to a computer if you care for me to do so

2) I don't know how to review past games, nor do I have any intention on doing that for alisae or anyone else. I don't need to meta read everyone - it's the nice thing about being new to a community.

How is back tracking scummy? Doing or saying something that shows you no longer agree or in support happens all the time. It’s about why one back tracks. Also scum don’t always have to reach for reasons to town read or scum read someone.

There’s a lot I could say about this game if I actually followed along after replacing out. I’m not going to brag about being right because I didn’t make a sincere effort to convince everyone else despite me thinking it was obvious that sub was scum based on why I voted for him.

Only advice I can give for now is to just really sit down and think about motivation. Part of why I replaced out is because I couldn’t understand what was scummy about tchill’s behavior and why it couldn’t come from town.

What is the Novice Vigilante mechanic?

Novice is a modifier that prevents someone from acting Night 1.

- Find a play style that works for you and stick with it.

- Reread games you've played in months after the fact. There is so much you can learn about mistakes you made, stuff you missed, how people reacted now that you know the entire setup.

I think if you do those two things, you will find your game improving by leaps and bounds

Idk about mu but here townies are downgrading their town meta so they can play better as scum.

i've seen this post from diffferent ppl.

my first thought is if you don't try your hardset to win every game as either alignment you shouldn't be playing. I would think both games would develop in a similar manner. If i am getting better at scum hunting I should in turn learn what not to do as scum.

because you throw this in with unexperienced players (such as myself) that are really trying and see scummy play from other townies doing this "holding back" it will lead to a lot of losses on lack of effort.

i think a player named vedith made the most sense on this topic. The only ppl trying to look towny are scum. As town You don't win by looking towny you win by lynching scum, scum hunting. So when a player comes off as just looking towny because he's "holding back" i'm gonna be willing to lynch him almost every time.

As scum you just have to "scum hunt" but it has to make sense, from my understanding at least. Most players that i've seen that I consider "bad" as scum is ppl that just try to look towny, or ppl that don't make near as much sense as scum "scum hunting" compared to when they're town. So they dumb down their reasoning as town and their scum game benefits.

So when ppl are "holding back" to benefit their scum game I'd almost consider it game thrwoing. What can you do though?

i just hate that ppl do this. Someone commented in one of my early games that my town game would benefit my scum game through play style alone. I didn't intend that and i try just as hard as both i've just found a play style i believe is sufficient as both alignments which was totally by just playing the game and unintentional. Of course i've only played for a few months and ik i have a lot to learn

this is just an issue that's been bothering me which resulted in the longish post.

As someone who has been accused of doing so, I think it comes from a belief and expectation that the accused can play better as town and even has.
