I mean, the Panthers could always just use McCaffrey as exclusively a WR. It's not like it'd be some great loss from their running game.

Also, in extremely Brownsian news, apparently they tried to trade for AJ McCarron, agreed a deal with the Bengals, the Bengals told the league office about it before the trade deadline... and the Browns were late and lol, no QB to save them from the Kizer/Hogan/Kessler mess.

The Browns story gets even better. They're claiming that it only failed to go through because they sent a document for the Bengals to sign, and that the Bengals sent the wrong version of it in that was only signed by one team and that's why the trade failed. Except, that's not how NFL trades are supposed to work, both teams have to independently inform the league office. So... either a) the Browns are so grossly incompetent that they royally fucked up the trade procedure or b) the Browns are so grossly incompetent that they can't even find a feasible way to blame the other side for their own fuck-up. Or c) both, I guess. Good job, Browns. The Jets may be Jetsing up their attempt to tank for the #1 pick, but nobody can out-Browns the Browns.

I buy it. It makes perfect sense that the Cowboys would be desperate for a running back now Zeke is going to miss at least one game, and hurting the Cowboys makes the Eagles run to the post-season even easier.

Ajayi is also not that good? Like football is a team thing so there's alot that will affect the run game but in his big "breakout" season he only had like 2 or 3 games and a shitload of mediocre ones. Like I'm prob not a great judge of talent and I'm sure he has some talent...

the iggles didn't really "need" RB help. Like I'm p sure they aren't going to bring back Blount next year and I guess they don't trust Smallwood for some reason. A 4th rd pick for a decent back isn't horrible either.

eagles like to have a RB pool with varying talents - Ajayi is like an improved and younger Blount after he gets some better experience and coaching

Ajayi is better than people think with room to improve and is young, eagles wouldn't have gotten him if they didn't like him, blocking the cowboys would just be an added bonus, no way they'd do that as even a secondary reason, just a tertiary reason

Smallwood is just a different type of back, not a hammerer as much

Reck, sometimes its painfully obvious you have no idea what you're talking about.

DRC had the 4th best coverage grade in the NFL last year according to PFF.

He hasn't been quite that good this year, but hes still a very good NFL player.

He's 31 and on $6.5m a year for this year and next, though. As a free agent, I'm sure there'd be plenty of people who want him. For trade? I don't see it. At least not on a deal that doesn't make it seem like the Giants got hosed.

Trading a bunch of people for draft picks is only a good idea if you also trade Reese and McAdoo to the unemployment line.

McAdoo does seem pretty bad, and it wasn't just his playcalling before he turned it over

Think I gonna give up on browns and go back to my nfc alternative of GB. Problem is NFC north is really up for grabs with rogers on IR

Eagles getting jay was unexpected. I guess they feel they can make a bid for superbowl this year given how well season has goone for them at 1/2 way mark

Kinda surprised 49ers went and got garapolo. I thought they would run beathard this year and get Cousins in FA since WAS has not been on same page with Cousins past two years

Really though the 49ers have 10 shit players on offense, why do they think getting Jimmy G murdered is going to solve their problems?
