Luca is someone that is very pro-town, but I haven't formed a solid opinion on his actual alignment yet. However, I would be unlikely to lynch him as I feel that his alignment will become obvious with time).

Can you explain why being 'very pro-town' hasn't caused you to townread me? Especially considering you were dishing out town reads willy-nilly earlier on in 59.

Can you explain this one a little more, preferably with an example?

I would like to know this as well. I am honestly considering voting to get Elmo to L-1, I honestly disagree with his opinion on early game reads. I have seen several games played where scum have been successfully found with reads from within the first 2 pages. I am eager to see if he can convince everyone that he is town, rather then just attacking the wagon.

Feeling like a dead man walking. Not really seeing much as towns setting up this nice mislynch.

This is a terrible thing to do in my opinion. If I were to ever end up in your situation or a situation where I'm almost definitely going to be lynched I'd spend my final posts trying to contribute as much to the town as possible. This would not have the intent of not being lynched but rather to genuinely help the town even after death. Your final thoughts before your death are probably the most crucial as if you flip town all of a sudden your opinions hold more weight. If this is genuinely going to be a mistake at least help the town to learn from it and lynch the right person next time. Just giving up is never helpful for the town and just makes you look more and more scummy.

IceGuy's 'information-y' thing was also pro-town, and why wouldn't you bring it up past the first few pages? Because it doesn't suit your agenda?

'cos it's a really weak scumtell that belongs in the "getting stuff going" phase of the game. And IMO, telling people not to counterclaim a jokeclaim is so unlikely to be needed that it's more likely to be someone wanting to look good than someone who was actually worried about a counterclaim.

In previous games that Ive played granted its been a while. Normally when people post walls or reads it to get people to look the other way at them.

So you are saying mutant was scummy here, trying to get people to read him as town? If so, why did you say this:

What sort of Townie would just accept they are a 'dead man walking' so early in the day, and use that as a reason for not trying?

Another thing we have to constantly bear in mind here is that scum have day chat - this affects everything.

Could the reason Elmo isn't trying to save her own bacon be because her scum mates are devising a way out without her having to give out too much info?

A scum member who is about to be lynched will be reluctant to give out too much information in case it impacts negatively on their teammates post-flip - Town have no reason to do this.

Hmmm. Scum really don't like getting lynched. I don't buy that Elmo wouldn't try to save herself as scum for some strategic reason. If anything, daytalk makes it less likely for scum to roll over, as they'd have people to advise.

I think IceGuy made a good point when he said he can't see scum motivation behind Elmo's play, but neither can he see Town motivation.

He said he disagreed on Elmo's early reads, but he hadn't mentioned Elmo at all until this post.

His comment about scum having been found early on in previous games is pointless - just because it happened in previous games doesn't affect the likelihood of Elmo being scum in this one.

And being 'eager to see if she can convince everyone she is town'? That seems like he's looking at the situation from a distance rather than being directly involved in it, as if he were a spectator. Something about the wording of it seems weird to me.

I agree with 261. The initial vote for mutant and follow-up does look scummy to me, but since then I read Elmo's play as completely-different-from-me rather than scum or town.

And yes (ninja'd) - kelbris's 253 is not good. There's really nothing in there about why Elmo is or isn't scum - it's all about wagon patterns. Scumtastic.
