Mini Normal 1964 - Hell Is 56k Dialup
It was a quiet morning on the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains. The sun rose over the plains; its light cut through the brown cloud hanging over the mile high city and reflected brightly off the snow capped peaks to the west. The confused trees struggled to reconcile the rapidly rising temperature with the dusting of snow that still clung to their needles and hid in their shadows. The few birds that had made their way back to the region tweeted a collective but peaceful, "**** this ****!" and began a flight several miles back to the south to wait for the weather to figure out what the hell it wanted to do. Suddenly a painful shriek shattered this still morning. Gorkington sat groggily in bed, with a panic rapidly overtaking him. He couldn't connect to the forum. Worse - he couldn’t connect to the internet at all!
A small number of similar, pitiful cries of anguish sprang up from all over the town. Many thousands more households emitted a resounding, "Meh." before continuing on with normal lives. But for the first group, this was not an option. F5 buttons were ground to dust, monitors were shattered in frustration, nooses were prepared, and The_Jester fell off a cliff. It was a dark day, and news was slow. Some users were even desperate enough to create Twitter accounts. Eventually it was learned that the downtime was a result of the destruction of the small town’s only fibre-optic run by assailants unknown.
Naturally, the only sensible approach to finding the culprit was ritualistic murder by CAT5-o'-nine-tails.

1. Voting:
Votes and unvotes must be in bold or votetags to be counted. You do not have to unvote between votes for the next vote to be counted. You may unvote at any time and need not specify who you were voting for.2. Lynching:
Lynches require a simple majority of votes. Once that majority is reached, a lynch is achieved and further votes or unvotes will have no effect. 3. No Lynch:
You may Vote: No lynch if you wish to end the day without lynching. No Lynch will also require a simple majority.4. Deadline:

When the deadline passes, if no player has a majority of the votes, the player with the most votes will be lynched. If more than one player is tied for the most votes, no lynch will occur.6. Night Actions:
Night actions will be resolved using Natural Action Resolution. Each player may only undertake one night action per night.7. Lurking:
Players who sign up in this game are expected to actively post and participate. Players who do not post for 48 hours without prior warning will be prodded. Failure to respond to a prod within 24 hours will result in replacement. Receiving 3 prods in the same Day will result in forced replacement. Lurking will not be a viable strategy in this game and players who are consistently prodded or post only to avoid being prodded will be replaced at the Mod's discretion. 8. Out-Of-Thread/Beyond-The-Grave Communication:
The game is not to be discussed outside the thread unless your role specifically states that you may do so, and then only in the manner stated in your role PM. Don't quote any out-of-thread communications regarding this game in the thread; this includes your role PM. In addition, once you're dead, you may post exactly once more (often called a "Bah" post) before endgame, and it may not contain relevant game content. Any violation of this rule is a modkillable offense in addition to any penalties the site moderation team opts to impose. 9. Posting Style:
Do not use odd colors, font size, or excessive images in your posts. Do not be unduly abusive to your fellow players. Do not edit or delete your previous posts. No codes or foreign languages.
