Converted players lose their former winning condition (but not their role powers if they have any) and are informed of their conversion, but not that you converted them. Converted players cannot win at ALL. If you die, all converted players turn back to normal. You win if you are alive and everybody else has been converted.

This role is awesome. If they know that if they kill the master, they will go back to normal, I think that would add a extra layer to the game. Maybe the master should be able to convert 2 people a night. (naturally, remove the 4 pagraphs restriction)

On odd-numbered nights, if your patient is killed, you will sink into depression from failure and become useless.

Here is a role I thought of in the shower:

You are the

Devil

. You have no special powers, except the power of The Deal.

At night you may secretly offer a deal to a player. If they choose to accept the deal that player will permanently become a (cop/doctor/lawyer/JOAT/whatever power role etc.) and in exchange you will get their soul (their vote!). You will be allowed to (secretly) move their vote wherever you like. If they choose not to accept the deal, nothing happens.

You win when you control the majority of votes left in the game. Also you're the devil so you're immune to night kills and any powers you give out.

The version where the power of the town role has to live for the town to win is just horroble for the rest of the town, because you could hypothetically get a shit player in that 1 slot and utterly torpedo the town.

I think that if you make the role be a town aligned survivor- has to be alive to win, but town doesnt need it alive to win nicely sidesteps the issue. But that ends up relying rather a lot on the "play to win" rule and the "dont be a jerk" implict contract.

Giving scum x vengekills is pretty brutal though. Lets say a 9p game with 2 scum? Assume d1 mislynch then d2 correct lynch- thats 5 dead guys by d3 starting. Chances the PoT player is alive for that? Not that great, espically if he had any sort of a hand in the correct lynch.

Given this, i'd think the optimal play is as a survivor and just try and lurk the day away
