This post in particular bothered me for a while and it didn't hit me earlier today as to why. Transcend's entire game has been about making claims and then never backing it up. People don't really question it either. Looking at this list, his hardest gut town was someone who, as of this post, has posted 5 times, and as of that post, posted once. One time and that's his "gut town", and because of this endorcement, and next to no one questioning Transcend on his reads, wave has easily claimed a role that no one can varrify, and no one (as far as I know) scum reads him. He says things as if they are fact, but in reality, they are gut guess that he cannot defend but treats as facts, which is why when I asked him, he refused to clarify anything. . Like...isn't that questionable logic? Like even more questionable than my original blunder. You can't assume someone is town for lack of scummy post. You have to townread them for things that look like town motivation.

This game is so damn weird and I don't like it...

Both Zack's and Transcend's games have been weird compared to everyone else's (Scadd too, actually). Zack is on the defense and Transcend is on the offensive but both seem to be built on little to no foundation.

Well, that's my two cents before moving to phone for a week thanks to thanksgiving break.

oh, i misinterpreted this the first time i read it - are you asking if i replaced in thinking that my slot was town or scum? i honestly don't follow games that i'm just reading as close as games that i'm playing in, so the slot was null for me. that didn't factor into anything, though - i was on the replacement queue and had no idea who i was replacing.

okay, so here are my thoughts having followed along with the thread and done a quick reread.

can someone explain the wagon on the ucv slot to me? i get that he really hasn't done much this game except for a weak push on jodaxq, but i'm not sure that that's especially alignment-indicative enough to warrant a lynch. lynches for "null" behavior like that have always struck me as lazy in the same way as lurker lynches. with that in mind i'm not necessarily saying i'm against it today, just saying that hopefully screenplay can clarify the read there on that slot.

i'm getting a scumlean from jodax, but it's something i'm constantly doubting myself on. the intial motivation for ucv makes total sense to me - ucv wasn't really contributing anything but was clearly in the thread, so that warrants suspicion. at this point, though, i wonder about the motivation behind singling out ucv specifically over other posters who weren't really contributing much or were just lurking it out. the later continuation of the read and the justifications are what leads to the scumread - specifically, i take issue with this:

So because Schadd has not explained his town reads, you think they’re not real. I don’t understand how you can reach that conclusion if he’s not offered an explanation for those reads yet. "why is your read around me centered around my read on you" is another one of those things that should be a statement and not a question. ya, when i'm thinking about stuff that zach did that informs my read of him the way he talks about me is one of the things that stands out. it's a sort of standin for a general issue which is that a lot of your reads / posting style seem convenient, like more aligned with what i think u r good at doing as scum (explaining things! rhetoric!) than what i expect u to gravitate to as town (callouts! a bunch of other foggy things that i'm not sure about exactly because kidney was garbage fire). 962 for example also has a bunch of things that are questions that should just be statements and like trying to explain your way onto the mislynch but also try to seem engagey. which came after my readlist but fukkit it's a good example and the sort of thing i was thinking of.
