Not really much to say to be honest. Too much Jackassery. One thing that I do have an opinion on is this big LLD everyone claim thing could be from Scum. Yeah, it could be beneficial to the town but not as beneficial as it is for scum because, I think the scum has a lot to gain knowing the value of people's powers. A lot more then town simply not going over the power bar, and this is kinda driven home to me by this whole clause of "DO NOT LIE ABOUT YOUR VALUE OR I WILL LYNCH YOU NO MATTER WHAT, EVEN IF YOU ARE MY TOP TOWN READ". The whole thing feels a lot like scum trying to get close to perfect information on the town and look town doing it.In post 282, Ice Cream Sand Witch wrote:People who have stated 0 opinions on other players: ElliRock, EPShea, LLD, Kaito, Kokichi, PJ

Let's say there is a power with a cost that is significantly out of line with the numbers given, that would tell scum that that person's power is significantly larger and more game changing, possibly needing to be "charged" a couple rounds. Also, just in general, bigger numbers, mean bigger powers. By publically trying to "solve the game" we're giving the people with the information advantage a greater chance at doing so and using it against us.Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.- PJ.

Yes. Scum having perfect information or close to perfect information on any part of our spells seems really fucking bad.In post 292, Ice Cream Sand Witch wrote:After half of us have already claimed do you still think that it's in our best interest to just stop and lynch LLD?Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.- PJ.

it also give the scum incomplete info.
And it certainly is near perfect info, given that everyone, by LLD's view and yours, should be telling the truth.
And what's the best case scenario here, alisae?
We add up the totals and then as a group choose who gets to use actions based on the power bar? Who are trusting with that responsibility? This is an empty exercise that gives scum a far greater advantage then it gives us.Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.- PJ.

A town player who think they are being snubbed and has an "OP OMG WHY WON'T YOU LET ME USE MY POWER" attitude can overload us as easily as scum and we're on a witch hunt in a pool of players that could be predominantly town. The whole arguement for this is "we are dumb players so we should game the system" works both for and against the town. A stupid townie is gonna lose it regardless if we game the system or not, so it's better to NOT GIVE FREE INFORMATION TO THE BAD GUYS even when banking on "town is stupid and needs more info"
Idk, maybe I'm too old school, but like..the 2nd thing mods used to do when designing a setup was be like "do mass claims break the game for town?", so assuming this game is well designed, a partial mass claim isn't going to be an advantage, it's going to be a the opposite and potential a large one. Stupid town not withstanding.Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.- PJ.

What if it's not as stupid as a track? What if they think that it's in their best interest to blow up the town then to let it ride. Essentially what you are suggesting is every day we do a mini game of Resistance for each night saying like "if the night is disrupted it's cause a scum is on the outside", when town could just as easily hold the game hostage because of pride/greed/stupidity or a combination. I'm saying this is far more detrimental town especially if the scum take over who's "going on the night missions" by being more influential because "towns are stupid".

Not petty.
Run a fucking scenario.
we currently have a pool of 65.
Let's say that's 8 roles. So we see who's sent on the night. For argument'ss sake, I(town-aligned) feel there are multiple scum being included in the 8. I say, "hey guys I don't feel it's in our best interest to send 2 people I feel are scum to do night actions. I'm going to overload us if it goes as is seeing as it was prevent them from doing actions the next night as well as us". So now we're in a situation where we gotta haggle with that person to NOT overload, and possibly be forced to mislynch that person. I(scum-aligned) could use the same shtick and then be like "okay, level with me and put x person in instead of y person" to try to ensure action from the scum side. Turning this into a side game of "game the system" instead of just straight scum hunting only helps the scum.
I don't think you're coming from a scummy place, and if you have experience in games with this mechanic and telling me with absolute certainty the only way to win this game is to play this mini-game, I'll try to follow your lead because i'm entirely new to this mechanic, but from I am telling you that in my heart of hearts that I feel this tactic is incredibly anti-town and I feel the way LLD jumped on it and was so gung-ho about it is heavily concerning to me.Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.- PJ.
