i've been listening to some of their stuff and loving the shit out of it - anything in particular you recommend?

i dont think these are the best for musical discovery

i want to try to create some sort of cabal here of people who are just shootin past recommendations and shit
seems like limiting people to genres is counterintuitive; best songs I've found from Song Contest are songs that I wasn't expecting to enjoy at all but instead enjoyed so much where I looked into the artist and became obsessed and annoyed and angered all those who are close to me

I'd most definitely prefer an extended deadline.

In post 105, Parama wrote:yeah tbh i almost considered outright not voting because even my 12 is not very good this time lol
i may go all in and just submit some weird tech death metal song for 0 points next round & then quit lol tbh it's rare that i get something worthwhile from song contests these days
what bugs me the most is the people who just submit similar samey sounding indie folk rock stuff every time how do you not get tired of it
or generic classic rock with no flavor
so many songs just lack, any sort of flavor and that's the problem i have with a lot of contests lately
meh
I recently started participating in song contests in a large part because of you - I really enjoy reading your reviews and always root for finding a song that you either hate or love and so if you quit you'll be breaking my heart. Please don't do that.
