Suggestions for my phaseless, irl mafia variation?

Unless I'm missing something, why don't both gunsmiths just out themselves immediately, and then systematically kill everyone else? The only way to lose is if you lynch jesters who decide to kill the claimed gunsmiths, and if you're ever suspicious that a person might be a jester pretending to be scummy then you just shoot them.

In fact, if there are only one or two jesters, it's literally beneficial for the town to lynch townies. If you lynch townies until it's just the two gunsmiths, two jesters and the mafioso, then the gunsmiths can hand each other their guns, shoot two people and lynch the third if they didn't shoot mafia.

You could even have players willingly claim jester and promise to kill someone who isn't a gunsmith in exchange for being lynched and winning, in which case the mafia literally can't win.

If you want setups with no concrete information, you can't have roles that can confirm themselves by claiming, along with no night phase and thus no chance for the mafia to eliminate them. Even if the gunsmiths can't confirm themselves by giving away their cards, they still can just by saying that they're gunsmiths and having no one counterclaim them. That said, if the reason you don't like having a night phase is that someone has to narrate, the likely-best solution to that is to simply have whoever is lynched on day one narrate. They don't even need to narrate really, just ask the mafia to point who they want to kill (and repeat for anyone else with a night action) and then announce the results; if they don't want to get any more into the role than that, they don't have to, and if another player who would rather narrate dies later then they can take the role over.
