If one is assuming Maki's results are correct, they're assuming Maki is town. I don't see Maki being scum as likely, but it is one possibility. Another is that one of the targets is a godfather.

chesskid, usami, kokichi, and toko are all conftown as far as i'm concerned

i think scum have the ability to swap roles with someone as a way to throw off the masonry clears, which is why kyoko chose to swap with chesskid. so chesskid and usami are town and so are their recruits

plus theres literally no reason to act like lynching our slot, even if you think we're scummy, is optimal. at best we should be the target for the alignment swap if kyoko were town because again no matter our actual alignment what we literally can play to a town wincon, so killing us is stupid when every other slot doesnt have that freedom

that leaves kaito, vnb, maki, and kiyo as other scum possibilities, and that lynchpool is pretty reasonably sized so i think this sort of a counter makes sense

Drive by post since I’m busy today but in thinking about why this is better than swapping me i realized that mechanically it’s identical to lynching Kiyo (or whoever besides me is swapped) as their original alignment since we’re forced to lynch the swapped person regardless

I have answered this twice. As certain as I was I am not incapable of being wrong and Alignment swapping has a tremendous risk. I didn't see you getting caught up when weeby did the same with his scumread on Celes

Can I also ask a question, how exactly do you plan to switch side to help the town as your plans suggest if Robbie is elected and I am already lynched? You are leading them into a path that only benefits you and it saddens me they are falling so easily for it.

The idea is if you swap me you don’t get lynched unless I confirm you’re scum. I cannot get swapped tomorrow if we mislynch because then swapped!me would endgame town.

Without the swap, yes, the election only benefits me, but it doesn’t hurt anyone else. I don’t get a survivor wincon once the election happens; I still have a town one to fulfill! I know there’s isn’t a way to prove this but I will always townside if the election goes through - if there are any doubts about me doing so without a swap then I will point out that for the sake of my records I’m counting this is a town game and am actively trying to improve the game - throwing my vote out in MYLO does not achieve that. We can also manipulate MYLO to make sure I never hammer, which i’m perfectly OK with.

But the idea is that if I’m successfully swapped, I would also be lynched today to prove that I’m telling the truth. My alignment wouldn’t matter because the game will continue no matter what, but since I always win with town I can tell who the scumteam is whether I’m swapped to town or scum.

we can elect Robbie Rotten even if I were to die, but as far as i was able to ask we dont know what alignment a swapped person will flip

i was hoping to see that maybe we could hold off electing robbie until I were to flip if kyoko successfully swapped me to prove it works and that i gave an accurate result but that doesnt seem like the case
