There's also an opportunity cost to consider for not brining legal goods, so straight 50/50 wouldn't be fair.

I can make a 3 good legal hand, possibly 4 by drawing from the deck, the contraband is worth 35 gold, so that's a 25ish gold difference, splitting that 50/50 I end up with 12-13 as a fair price, so 2 peppers?
