Here's what I'm definitely bringing based on requests

Arkham Horror
Betrayal at Baldur's Gate
Betrayal at House on the Hill (with expansion)
Codenames and Codenames Pictures
Cosmic Encounter
MafiaScum cards
Mysterium
Mystic Vale
Shadow Hunters
Sushi Go
Wombat Rescue

or I could just bring Kingdom Death and we could paint miniatures all week?

i would wager there's a 0% chance arkahm gets played because there are no six hour time gaps except on the last day when most people won't want to sit around for 6 hours

Mysterium vs Codenames vs Codenames Pictures

imo just pick one, they're all basically the same idea anyway

I would compare Mysterium more to Dixit than Codenames, personally. I think Codenames & Pictures are sort of redundant though.

I stuck both codenames in the same box, but I don't really think Codenames and Mysterium are all that similar

I think Codenames and Mysterium are different mostly because one has a competitive side.

My record time solo-running a game (controlling 4 characters) is 15 minutes post-setup.

I am very good at Arkham Horror.

If it's just base set I don't think a game would ever take me over an hour.

TBH the game suffers heavily from the coop game problem of "oh look one person is really good and just quarterbacking for everyone"

So I stopped playing with people so they couldn't hold me back.

that's why i hate most co-op games

and why i like spirit island, i think it solves that problem (by giving everyone so much complicated stuff to do you can't possibly pay attention to what everyone else is doing)

I think the games that do it best are ones that limit communication (like Hanabi or the JRPG game will had me try when I was visiting last), or games that limit time (like space alert)

^This. If I can beat the game alone, why would I want to play with anyone else? I like co-op games but only if we are learning it together or if there is a competitive side to it like Betrayal or Dead of Winter.

I will also totally play a board game by myself if everyone is all in survivor mode and I have nothing to do lol.

Hanabi is great because it eliminates quarterbacking. Not to mention even though it's a cooperative game, I FEEL like I'm playing against the IDIOTS WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND WHEN I SAY 3 THAT I MEAN PLAY THAT CARD AFTER THE PERSON TO MY LEFT PLAYS THE 2!
