I think he is definitely a jester, if you look at posts 1 and 2. Otherwise I'd be voting him for putting Frogger at L-1.In post 38, Sephiroth wrote:I don't think hes trolling but I also don't think there's an acceptable reason to put someone at -1 when you think they're town. Okay, I'm back and caught up. Happy New year!
I don't like that stitch came back to a wagon and didn't even bother to comment. Seph, skitter and mulch all feel town to me based on limited meta and their reactions seeming genuine. Frogger also feels town, and transcend is too good for me to read right now. Null on everyone else so I'd say as of right now stitch is my biggest scum read.
Don't want to vote yet as I want to re-read and do an ISO first.- Lalendra

I was waffling on Mulch/FL but I am inclined to believe the neighbor claim. My first thought was that it could be scum using neighbor as a way out but I don't think FL would have come right out and said he just won a scum game with a fake neighbor claim if that was his gambit here (unless he felt someone would check his meta and pre-empted it by doing that, which is WIFOM but would still make the claim risky). My problem now is figuring out who is scum because I now have to re-evaluate their interactions with basically everyone in light of this new information. I was also thinking Seph might be scummy but I think that's just lingering paranoia and that his interactions with mulch/FL are TvT.
I'm glad Transcend at least recognizes that I am lynchbait, and scumread in every game regardless of alignment.
For now I think I'm okay lynching in Fro99er/stitch/CoA.- Lalendra

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the mechanics but I'm not sure what you mean here. Isn't neighbor inherently town? And if Flavor Leaf is a neighbor, and mulch is not his neighbor, then wouldn't he call mulch out for fake claiming neighbor? I guess I'm saying I can only see this working if they are both scum, but you say you believe the neighbor claim which I thought had to make him town.In post 862, skitter30 wrote:FWIW, I explicitly do not believe the neighbor claim as stated. Saw that after, I was still catching up. But now I'm really not sure what to make of it. Why would FL go along with it when mulch said it? Why did mulch say it? I'm so confused and it's SO much wifom. In post 981, skitter30 wrote:Neighbors aren't inherently town.

I was scumleaning because I didn't like his interactions with Seph. He didn't react the way I thought he would to the vote so it tilted my read back. So I guess not a pure reaction test but that was essentially how it functioned. In post 1283, skitter30 wrote:So you decided to do a reaction test on a townread in the form of voting him?- Lalendra

My problem is that my feelings are always genuine, I just suck at letting other people see the process inside my head. I'm very much a gut player and don't always broadcast it when my reads are evolving so I come in with a new vote thinking it's perfectly clear why I'm doing it and everyone (probably rightly so) goes wait, what
but anyway
skitter, you're basically locktown for me (please don't betray me thx) so what do you think of a FL wagon? I would be down for that.- Lalendra

There were more so let me just respond to them all. Which one do you think "meant something"? This one, where he acknowledges Athena's suggestion that you could be scum but still expresses a preference to lynch someone else?In post 103, Stitch wrote:
Yes because chasing associatives so early in the game is pointless. If it came to that it'd be better to lynch Frogger first anyway (who I'm not scumreading to begin with). In post 71, CultOfAthena wrote:

too lazy to quote this again but I agree with Athena's posts not having a lot of purpose. There's stuff like "I think Frogger is town as well, but the self-wagon is a poor reason to think so." that has no reason to be there, it's not like she's trying to start a conversation with it so its pretty weird.
VOTE: CultofAthena

This one, where he finally votes youIn post 634, Stitch wrote:I really need to stop avoiding this thread.
I've thought about it for a while and realised the part that bothers me about Yoshi is that they're very cautious with their posting. They always seem to have an alternative reason for why their conclusion might be wrong. This is something I think is more likely to come from scum because it gives them flexibility to bounce to a different read while still having some ground for it in the past and generally scum are more aware of the flaws in their cases than townies are (or else townies wouldn't be voting them). Their vote for Mulch in particular bothered me for this line:
It reads to me like Yoshi just REALLY WANTS to vote Mulch in this scenario rather than being a genuine reaction to Mulch's posts.I don't understand why you would blow up like this. This honestly makes me feel it too scummy to be scum, but this has reached a level past THAT.
VOTE: Yoshi
Or this one, where you two have an utterly unconvincing exchange and then he moves his vote off of you?In post 787, Stitch wrote:
I'll take you at your word because of personal experience. Fwiw I didn't think you were a teenager or anything if it bothers you that much, don't worry about that. I would like you to explain why Mulch went beyond too scummy to be scum because that's the main part of your content that bothers me now. It feels like a very easy stance to take and I can't really see your thought process there. I can see later content like #705 as town thoughIn post 637, BigYoshiFan wrote:
Honestly, that's just who I am and how I play regardless of alignment. I'm extremely self-conscious regardless of alignment. I won't always post what comes to mind because of what I can only call social anxiety. It's weird, that I play this game about communicating with others yet always feel nervous about sharing my thoughts. When I'm comfortable with a person or group of people, this isn't an issue, but the recent... emotion that has been conveyed through the thread isn't helping. I'm still relatively new to mafia (I think this is my 8th? game) and I am 16, and I know both of those characteristics tend to draw some unwanted attention. In post 634, Stitch wrote:I've thought about it for a while and realised the part that bothers me about Yoshi is that they're very cautious with their posting. "Are you fucking stupid? Blah blah blah"
Surprisingly, no one has really antagonized me for my age, but I feel like it goes through some of your minds when you interact with me, and it just comes out naturally because you're twice my age and I'm just an inferior teenager on his laptop sitting on his bed.
And some of you who have played with me may notice I tend to sheep often, and that's why. Not making an excuse if I tend to do it this game because I'm working on it, but... yeah.
Part of that paragraph came straight from another site where I played a mafia game (as scum albeit), one player here should recognize it. I used it because it really does epitomize what I want to explain. I don't feel like revealing the site though, so you'll just have to take my word and potentially the word of whoever played with me that game.
*takes deep breath*
Alright, rant over.
Also @ is Stitch an alt I have offsite experience. This game is way different to main site stuff and tbh it's pretty hard to process when I ended up with more commitments than I expected. I don't really know how to respond to votes on me when most are pretty small to begin with.
FL, why would you ever play intentionally non-townie outside of concealing a power role (which you really aren't now). I don't get how the question to Seph was relevant to your vote on him. It was a loaded question where you could have voted for him after in disagreement by saying "yeah then if that's not your normal behaviour" and I don't understand why you would out that you have this very-townie-neighbour-friend but only halfway. If you were going to defend the slot outright it would be a different thing but I don't see what you would gain from doing this as town.
I don't care about Lalalalala at all. They haven't done much and what they have is null which bothers me because UCV is in a similar vote but asks questions without following up on them/drawing any conclusions which just looks like he's coming up with them as fake content. Probability posts are among the easiest things for scum to fake because they don't even have to lie a single bit about it.
