That particular wall of text is 99% of why my team wasn't able to sign up in time. Refreshed, huge wall of text, had to scroll all the way down, and then I had to wade through several pedits. :/ Then said fuck it and wasn't going to even bother, and decided I might as well post in case people had to drop out

For those who are unaware (presumably everyone), this was a reference to a yearly tradition at MIT, the MIT puzzle hunt.

A few years ago, the winning team was named the entire text of atlas shrugged, due to their being no character limit to names at the time. The puzzle hunt just occurred this prior weekend, and Chesskid wasn't supplying a name, so I chose that one as an homage to the MIT team.

My apologies to anyone inconvenienced, and any interference in their signup was entirely unintentional.

I would think, however, that everyone else had to scroll through the whole thing as well, so I'd imagine those who successfully signed up were simply faster than those who didn't

Except, of course, for those like myself, who were simply so annoyed at it and the subsequent pedits(which included teams with multiple entries) that they didn't bother putting in their application once they had counted 6 posts....when in reality there were actually less entries.

Not the only factor, but a contributing one.

Apology accepted. Means I don't have to play mafia again, so, probably a good thing.
