I am a fair mod.
PM me ASAP if you see a mod error or a rules break. I will do my best to fix things. No matter what the flavor says, I guarantee fairness and non-bastardness.
3.
Do not pretend to break the rules.
I will treat this as actually breaking a rule.
4.
If your account is not listed, do not post in the game thread.
If you post from the wrong account, I expect you to correct this ASAP.
5.
When dead, you may have one game-irrelevant substanceless "Bah!" post

This game is a commitment.
Please treat it as such. If you need to go V/LA, just let us know

and mark it in your profile. Otherwise, prods will be issued every 2-day period without game-relevant posting. If you don't respond or I keep having to prod you, I will replace you.
7.
Play the game.
"Prod-dodging" every 47.9 hours does not constitute treating this game as a commitment. I expect game-relevant posts and reasonable activity (daily is fine), and will give warnings and prods to players that do not appear to be playing the game in good faith.
8.
Do not spam or clutter the thread.
Please keep low-quality game-irrelevant posting to a minimum. If a large number of posts are irrelevant, it impacts me, other players, and potential replacements.
I am willing to give out warnings and replacements for excessive spam/clutter

The Day phase will last (number of players alive + 1) real life days.
If there are 5 players alive, the deadline is 6 days. Extensions of at least 2 days for replacements.

Voting

11.
Unvoting

Majority lynch
. When a majority is voting a particular player, votes and unvotes will no longer be counted. You may continue posting in a "Twilight" phase until I lock the thread.

No lynch
: No lynch will occur if there is no majority by the deadline. You may also vote "No Lynch". When 50% of players vote "No Lynch", the day will end immediately.
14.
The Night phase will last 48 hours
. The timer will be put on hold if I need to find a replacement.
15.
You may send and resend night actions from thread lock to the Night deadline.
If you resend an action, I will count the most recent one.

No player will receive more than one modification. The sole exception is the traitor, who may be Recruited and gain an additional ability. No modification will be dealt to more than one player. Mafia is able to use individual abilities and perform the factional kill in the same night.
Once mafia has selected their abilities, I will shuffle (randomize) the power roles and re-deal them to applicable players. If you do not receive a new role, then your role remains the same. The game will begin after final confirmation of new roles.

First of all, thanks to everyone for making my first modded game a particularly enjoyable one. After the initial bout of standard D1 replacements, I barely had to prod anyone. And thanks for no drama and whatnot
Second of all, wow, what a game, well done to Jay, N_M, and Montosh for that perfect victory! I was sure Creature's slot was screwed, but Jay completely turning it around was fantastic. Montosh played great scum support; I think of the 3 he was most likely to get lynched if anyone, but he played townishly enough for there to always be better targets. N_M was hilarious through the game, but on D3 did amazingly in screwing up associations between the team. I think even with a mafia lynch today, the associations would've been muddled enough for a mafia win in LyLo.
I wouldn't say town even played THAT badly. Almost every townie had one mafia member nailed, and a lot of people did well at identifying bad lynches (Srceenplay for example). I think this was a case of a really good mafia team overpowering town. Town made a few crucial mistakes, of course:
- After A50's and mutant's deaths, town pretty much lost all cohesion. At a certain point, mafia stepped in and started running the town.
- In this case, while the worst's lynch was mechanically correct, people had still been townreading him. And while Jay's lynch would've been mechanically incorrect, there might've been enough scumreads of him to push it through. Watch out for mechanical decisions overpowering your reads.
- A speedy no lynch would've been the correct move today, as Jay would have 0 excuse for still being alive D4, and legoboy might not have had to reveal himself. Ironically, it was mainly scum pushing no-lynch.
- And of course different night actions could've turned the game around. Espe actually submitted a kill on Montosh before deciding Una was the mechanically correct shot :/. And A50 keeping himself alive D2 might've saved Espeonage. Who knows?

the worst had surprisingly good reads for someone vigshot
NSG and skitter definitely did well for going against general town consensus in chasing their scumreads. I can see a universe where Montosh gets lynched, lego pulled a guilty on N_M, and Jay gets lynched for still being alive on D5.
Ultimately, the cop counterclaim fiasco did town in. I thought Sky was pretty town by play, but I had the benefit of omniscience xD

I argue that a lynch of Not Mafia would have been the correct move, as Jay would have 0 excuse for still being alive D4, AND we'd be down a scum ^_~ But I would have trainwrecked us in the next day phase because I would have pushed hard for a Screen lynch :/

The problem is that town DIDN'T know Jay was scum, and there was the small chance that
1. Jay-blocker could block a kill, while
2. An as-of-yet unrevealed Cop/Tracker finds scum.
Since you guys didn't know if there was a Cop/Tracker out there, that extra night could've saved town. And in the universe where Jay is town and just get shot by mafia, at least it tables that constant paranoia of Creature's slot.
No lynch is bad if someone is SUPER CONFIRMED TOWN. But Jay wasn't confirmed town by any means; he was just treated as such.

I gotta say, I cracked the fuck up when I saw that both mafia AND vig decided to shoot the worst, WHILE A50 GUARDED HIM (A50 thought the worst was vig)
I got a bit of FOMO a few times through the game, thinking "Oh man it would be so cool to be playing/talking strategy at this point" . I hope it was as fun for you guys to play as it was for me to watch.

Stack The Deck holds a special place in my heart for being my first innocent child game and the closest game I got to a "perfect" victory . Semi-opens are interesting to strategise for.
Interestingly had the worst not been quicklynched, Espeonage and Jay could actually have directly confirmed each other by targeting each other. If Espeonage's kill goes through, Jay is scum (obviously). If it doesn't, either Espeonage is lying about being a vig, or Jay accurately blocked his shot.
Sometimes the mechanical decision is actually the correct one, but it needs some teamwork to execute

Good question. You and A50 submitted your actions early, and mafia had the worst in their NK-pool a few hours into the night, so I had time to check with LlamaFluff (shouts out to the leaving listmod!)
The Bodyguard PM is worded such that rather than blocking a nightkill, it instead dies in the target's place if the target were to die at night. It thus resolves AFTER both kills; the mafia and vig shots kill the worst, and THEN A50 replaces the worst's death with his own.

Creature has an expansive meta of lurking as scum. Your slot was pretty clearly scum on arrival IMO. The fact that you were able to turn even a few votes was astounding. You then unknowingly played into Creature's meta of ALSO lurking as town power role, which brought A50 to your side (and he died still townreading you). Roleblocker claim was a good one. Scum also did you a favour by only picking one modification.
