and I don't like to share my townleans / TRs (early in the game) because I think it just helps scum (and people who give out TRs make me suspicious even though I've learned from playing here townies do it a lot)

a lyncher would want someone lynched (that isn't their target) that they deem in the way of them achieving a lynch on their target, and other more complex things that you seem to be dismissing in favor of something more simplistic, which while I don't disagree with the possibilty that a lyncher will "settle on their target with a damning case", even that isn't necessarily so simple an option for them that THAT'S HOW IT'S GOING TO BE

Imagine the lyncher's target is me, who seems to be getting generally TR. Now, we're far from Day over / a lynch, sure, but for argument's sake, let's say I'm not getting lynched today - so what does the lyncher do if I'm their target? They could sit back and hope things turn in their favor over the next 2 game Days (if that's so they shouldn't have joined this game), or, if they're pursuing their wincon with vigor, what they need to do is try and set me up. In that situation, the last thing the lyncher wants to do is help me lynch scum. If I'm on a wagon and we lynch it and it flips yakuza, the lyncher is not going to get me lynched. They either have to try and convince others that I'm the lyncher or yakuza + hope that I push a townie to lynch and that the next Day they can push my lynch.

I don't think the lyncher's target is NM, because I think that'd be an easy push at this point and no one is joining me on the wagon.

I am pretty confident in dino being the lyncher at this point:

James uses the term "trigger happy" to describe dino and then part of dino's response to me includes "being "trigger-happy" is not the hallmark of a lyncher," (kind of feels slipped in there)

For a NL, we get a 60% chance for a town hit and a 40% chance for a scum hit. Odd aren't great, but they're better than lynching a scum still, which is weird.

hmmm, let me think, for the longest time I just wanted to get the lyncher killed because I thought there was no way I was going to find deprogrammer, didn't want to lynch jester because I didn't know if game would continue, and I figured I'd just solidify my towncred if I helped town kill the lyncher (and also figured if I helped lynch lyncher my chances to pull both the doc+deprogrammer actions onto myself increased, and if that happened I was thinking of going for the ballllllsy move of sacrificing and getting healed and have 2 mafs come D2)

so I had you as lyncher and jester pretty much as I expressed, flopping back and forth as I said/did, I never thought you were deprogrammer I don't think?

nah, I totally disagree, all the setup needs is 6 active slots and all players being on their game, town can't win if 1 of their players plays poorly compared to 1 of the 3 scum playing very well - the game simply has no handicap for town, and it shouldn't in a 6p
