This was unexpected.



This morning, the inhabitants of the city woke up as usual, though they had not seen the sun in days. They had their morning coffee and watched the morning news.

But he was wrong.

The storm had come. But maybe... not how he expected.



As the citizens put on their rain boots and brought their umbrellas-- just in case-- they might have seen the TV flash to a special police report of a missing person, the first such incident in a long time.

It would not be the last.

Gamma Emerald trudged through the dirty streets of the city. He'd had a rough couple of days. The townspeople's argument had come to an abrupt consensus, and he was lucky to have escaped them at all.

He knew they'd be coming though, but he was using the fog to shake them for as long as he could.

He darted into a back alley and pulled out a folder. If they saw the contents of the folder, all his plans would be ruined.
