i think the ic slot isn't a slot scum would want to pair up with since it's just simply the most optimal night shot for them to make. having anti pair with a townie is in mafia's interest. mafia being paired with the ic means they can't shoot them, which opens up the wifom strategy/argument and the strategy of leaving them with HAVING to pair with the IC, but i think it's an inherently inferior scum tactic to worth entertaining TOO much. forcing scum into it is worth entertaining

my thought process was that any ladies that showed adverse hesitation to pairing with ic (like alisae for example! who made lots of excuses to weasel out of!) from the get go might be worth keeping an eye on

Venmar is using a lot of things like the bolded. I don't feel like Venmar is trying to have a right read here. I feel like he's trying to present a read that is ironclad in reasoning.
Let's talk about the posts he pointed out.
293 - Somewhat valid question that is easy to attack.
332 - I fail to understand why the post is bad.
342 - Not alignment indicative.
404 - The only thing that's wrong about this post is that he thinks he's a 7 when he's actually a 1 and that he has correct reads. Besides that, and for the most part, the post seems truthful. And at worst, the post is NAI.

main issue i have with this is that alisae is exploiting the fact that i elaborated on my scumread but not on the posts that i cited. it let's alisae make a lot of assumptions on my behalf and it looks really neat on paper, because she can discredit the entirety of the bolded by attacking the posts i didn't elaborate on. the town mindset would've been to prod me for why i thought those posts were specifically scummy, the opportunistic mindset is to say fuck it.

in reality i will also say that what i did there and do with most of my reads is that most of my reads are gut-based and then i try to back it up with some reasoning (bolded) and what my gut reacted to (the four listed posts are examples of said posts). a lot of people have an adverse reaction to this aspect of my playstyle because of that and quite frankly i don't care.

chess is by far the stronger ping for me but i don't know what to make of elibereth's posts or posting style. my memory of eli's posting history (post-alisae mostly) as a whole is a bit fuzzy but i can't really recall him really "contributing" to the game positively yet. i've had mainly the feeling that there seems to be a sense that eli has done a lot or looks like he has, but im not convinced of that. i'm also unhappy with the relationship between chess and eli and i think it's very likely one of the two has completely duped the other.

My read on Dunnstral is pretty much just the early light scumread I had plus Maki saying Dunn was scummy. Then, he was overly defensive of my light scumread. That's it. I haven't retained any other information.

chesskid still seems like the best bet for scum in my eyes; i've been trying for a little while now to figure out where chesskid's opinion of harambe went from "i want to lynch haram" to "haram you're town sheep us", but i can't find it. probably his interaction with kagami but i think that whole exchange giving chesskid reason and confidence to flip his haram read to be opportunistic af. this is also the second time chess has reversed a read of his, the first time being when he was railing beeboy and then backed off when eli or something told him to stop. i haven't played too much with chesskid but he comes across as a stubborn and arrogant player, and i think you'd need to have a town mindset to change your reads gradually and a scum mindset to flip them as an arrogant/stubborn player; chess has definitely been pinging the latter.
