How do you win over the Jury?

For large social games such as Survivor where the primary mechanic is social interaction.

The game I won I took the person that I knew a lot of people would be unhappy with, and I also let them overexplain their game. The blue text also helped. I also had no idea what it was I was doing so there was also that. I've also gotten second and tied for first and lost a revote, so I wouldn't advise playing jury the way I have either unless you like winning or losing by a single vote.
