I have had an exploratory go at multiplayer and I am terrible at it. I tend to play defensive so I take less risks, and so I generally survive, but I am never at the forefront.
I think my major issue is that I never build scouts when playing AI because I only ever play Marathon and by the time you have built the scout most of the city states have been found and it's rare that it will race to many tribal villages.
Another thing is that I am rather unlikely to attack people, preferring to have my units chill at home in case of attack.
What a have found good though is that with the amount of people building straight for cav units for the movement, it's easy to weather the storm of a strong military by rushing to pikemen, thereby being able to defend. The warmongers just get so much free stuff from conquering, especially if they snag the first disconnect.Don't @ me.- Espeonage

It’s been a while since I tried so please forgive me if I’m off but I seem to recall having trouble with production or gold or something and kept falling behind? Like give me the five most important beginner strays and I’ll try those and tell you how it goesIn post 739, Elbirn wrote:Also all DLC for civ is on sale, get those deals shoppers
@porkens do you have questions? What do youneed
The faster the speed the better to build scouts. The slower, the better to go for Slinger / Half a builder / Settler / finish builder / SettlerDon't @ me.- Espeonage

Plains Hills is the only boost to your city centre. Unless there is an exceptional reason don't waste a turn. It isn't as important as say Civ5. Don't be afraid to though. In post 746, Porkens wrote:Yeah how do you plan ahead for districts?
Is it ok to move my first settler or is that an exponential waste of time?
For districts, you will get better with experience. There is the tabs system, so you can plan it out if you want by putting little markers out.
Obviously this all depends on victory type but important things to consider. National Parks are four tiles in a vertical diamond, if you want to make one, plan it ahead of time and mark it out with tabs. Harbours want to be next to a city centre. You want one campus next to a mountain for a breakthrough later on.
For an easy game just build campuses everywhere.Don't @ me.Copyright © MafiaScum. All rights reserved.
