Only having secondhand accounts with the language, I'm curious as to why you would want to go from any language to PHP.

Is this all on an AWS VM or is it coupled with their API's?

Do you have usage statistics?

What i am ultimately getting at is that I have a Raspberry pi sitting around and I can probably forward a port from a router to a web server on it. My only concern would be trying to harden a home router open to the public (if that kind of access is even supported)
