Empire says that Mara used to take strong pride in her scum game (which is suggested in 39). He's apparently spoken about this with Cabd before. (I can ask him for examples later.)
Patrick, why don't you look obvtown yet? Is it because of the scum tokens you bid on this game? (Here, some attention for you!)

I think we should start the game off working together, and figure the others alignment down the road. paranoia is a incessant thing between us, and if you're town, we don't need it to come in between us winning the game/causing unnecessary distractions. If you're scum, imma lynch you anyway.
I agree that a lack of paranoia between us is good for the game, but I'm not sure artificially delaying any sorting is a good way to achieve that. It's more been late-game doubt in early townreads that have messed up our games. What made you go for specific reach-outs this game rather than RVS?
ETL's "knee-jerk" is town.
I find Alchemist's early posts (particularly the questions at quil) lack direction, as do BPC's, to a lesser extent.

I've only played with her a very little bit, but like it feels either heavily influenced by her team or mara really stepping up her game. My first indication is to townread her posts, but I don't wanna jump to that considering possible influences!
Quilford is cuting it up, but that seems like general Quilford to me, pulling a townread early on from that seems dangerous! Looking beyond that, he's had some good posting, but nothing jumping out at me too hard.
This is terrible.
I haven't quite gotten my head around how specific I can be about stuff from our PT, but my team seem to think Quil is town and BB's and mara's openings are weird/fake.
For Mara, I said I've liked her posting so far, I've found it town, but I have reservations about having a townread right now. For Quilford, it's kind of the same thing. I'm giving an explanation for why I don't want to plunk down on one read or another yet, even if I have leanings.
I thought I may have been slightly crazy in not liking Mina's posting (more specifically post 79), but my PT-mates share my sentiment.
She said that she had been skimming the game and then started talking about my thoughts on ETL and not seeing what I was saying. I don't understand how you can jump from...

but she seems fine right now.
That's blatantly not caring about reads, yet she's picking up on me having reservations about townreading a couple people early on? Okay...
But then you'll just say whichever of my theories makes your team sound the most virtuous, and that's no fun.
(If you're going to be coy, can you at least tell me whether you or CES would have been more likely to take them?)
p-edit: It should be obvious that I'm following the game well enough to have reads. That's part of why I hated your hedging so much. All I meant is that scrolling back and following all the posting numbers in Quilford's case is hard from work.
EBWOP: I hated your hedging because I felt like it wasn't that hard to pick up some preliminary reads from what went down up to that point. (Mostly parroting the ETL case looked really scummy, though.)

I wanted to give you credit for picking a creative, not-very-mislynchable target, but I just reread this and realized this makes no sense. "Blatantly not caring about reads"? WTF?
I made a number of comments on ETL's posts before I made the post you questioned. Really it was most of what I had done up to that point!
As for me saying you were blatantly not caring about reads. You stated in your post that you hadn't followe the exact post numbers from Quilford and had been skimming. My impression was that you picked up on me without reading too much into the game and weren't going back at all the corroborate what you were saying. So to me, it really looked like you weren't even trying to read ETL and your "she looks fine to me" bit came across as not paying attention.

No more posting from me until tonight.
No, I still do but I would still much rather prefer having a town pm over a scum one.
Scum is pride, and town is joy. I guess I do see where that impression that I prefer scum though.

I've never played with anyone on your team before, and this seems to be general trend as of late, not entirely surprised.
I've also found that reaching out and working with players is more conducive to getting solid reads in, building a solid block, and getting into peoples heads which, ultimately leads to figuring alignment.
RVS also has always been something I've not been to fond of and I generally do try and end it asap
Alchemist's posts so far look like he's trying to appear involved without really adding anything - he's asking questions and taken a side on a couple of things, but seems to do so in a way that doesn't add any pressure or lead to any interesting followup. He's my best guess for scum so far. Does anyone (apart from serra) get the same impression?
I don't think any of the early attacks are very interesting; Mara's first post looks like a fairly normal attempt to give the game some focus, ETL seeming jumpy doesn't seem unusual if skype mafia is anything to go by, and BPC seems mildly town to me. I don't think he's been any more wishy-washy than normal, and in fact know more about what he thinks than I do most others. Is that based on a specific meta?

Have we played together or this is something more from your PT?
