I've done similar as town iirc but it is 100% a sign of wanting to coast as that was my motive when I did it

okay, and now for some realtalk

I've done it as both alignments, and the intent was always to get the town to follow me.

And in both cases I got yelled at by the mod because using role PM shenanigans to try and confirm yourself as town is using out-of-game influence in order to gain an advantage. The moderator and his/her posts should be considered neutral in terms of trying to "confirm" your own alignment.

And fuuuuuuuuuuuuuurthermore, here you have a guy who says he mis-read the mod's post, which is why he declared himself confirmed town. Then he acknowledges he misread it and somehow... that makes him also confirmed town? The only confirmed town are the dead. And sometimes I don't even trust them.

Ive done it as BOTH ALIGNMENTS as I previously stated.

At the very least it still doesn't make you town, and it's not even a credible "town slip" because you based it off a misreading and then you still tried to point to it as a confirmation of being town. This was literally you: "LOOKS LIKE IM CONFIRMED TOWN oh wait no I misread but I'm still confirmed town."

Any dogshit bad or borderline illegal play you can think of, I've probably done it. Some of it was good gameplay, some of it was not. You learn from your fuckups, you know? That said, It darn sure doesn't mean I'm about to not say something when someone else tries to do the same thing.

Side note, been wrecking online for the Crash Team Racing remake, and was Penta Penguin, and every single player has slowly switched over to being Penta Oenguin because I think they think it’ll help them win.
