Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia 5, PLAYERNAME. You are
Senator Joseph “Joe” McCarthy (from Real Life)
, a legendary right-wing politician and Communist hunter from the 1950's. In most timelines, you are discredited in 1954 when you begin accusing the Armed Forces of harboring Communists. In this timeline, you disappeared in 1953, only to wind up in some Jap village with way too many suns and moons in the sky... that translucent stormy many-colored sky. What Communist trickery is this?! You'll have to root out these Communists if you want to stop this and get back to saving God-fearing America from the Red menace...

You are a
Townie Anti-Communist Crusader
. You have the following special abilities:

Passive Abilities:

Rule Proposal (Triggered)
– At the beginning of each game day, you may propose a rule to be voted on by the players in the game and a name for that rule. If that rule is passed and not vetoed by the Mod, it will be enacted.
(Players will be informed of the name of the rule but not the text of the rule – catchy names are recommended. You will not be informed if the Mod vetoes your rule. Rules will be vetoed on the basis of balance problems or unfun gameplay.)

Active Abilities (use at most 1 per game cycle):

Subpoena
– Each night, you may target a player. You will learn if that player is a card-carrying Communist, a Communist sympathizer, or an upstanding American.

Win Condition (Town, Anti-Communist):
You win when both of the following conditions are fulfilled: all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives, AND Chairman Mao is dead.

Please confirm via return PM.

Mod Note: McCarthy is partially sane, partially paranoid. Communists, unsurprisingly, investigate as Communist. All other players – even players with Godfather immunity – investigate as Communist sympathizers. If rendered Insane, instead gets upstanding American for all players.)

And yes, that additional win condition is a red herring.

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia 4, PLAYERNAME. You are
Duke Samuel Vimes (from the Discworld series)
, the man responsible for transforming the Ankh-Morpork City Watch from a useless unit of medieval guards into a “modern” police force. While your duties as a nobleman and an administrator prevent you from getting dirty most of the time, sometimes you still get the opportunity to chase a crook. Today, however, you chased your crook right into the Unseen University's High Energy Magic building... and, after an experiment gone wrong, wound up here in some weird village. Skies shouldn't look like that, and the world definitely shouldn't be round. At least the people here are about like what you're used to – they'd break the law every which way, if nobody stepped up to enforce it. But a copper's a copper, no matter where he is...

You are a
Townie Watch Commander
. You have the following special abilities:

Passive Abilities:

Double Vote
– You have an additional vote.
(You may vote for two separate players at the same time or vote the same player twice. When moving your vote, please specify which of your votes you are moving.)

Legwork (Triggered)
– You begin the game with 1 point. At the beginning of each day, if you were voting for a player of a different alignment at the end of the previous day, you will gain one point.
(You only gain 1 point no matter how many players of other alignments you were voting at the end of that day.)

Active Abilities (use at most 1 per game cycle):

Deadline Extension (-1 point, Rapid Action)
– Each day, you may spend 1 point to use your influence to buy your investigations a little more time. You will extend the game deadline by one week.
City Watch Investigation (-3 points)
– Each night, you may spend 3 points to begin a large-scale investigation of a person of interest. The next time a player would be lynched, instead that player will be investigated, the results posted in the thread
(the investigation functions as a mod-confirmed Sane Cop's investigation, except the results will be posted in the thread)
, then the vote count will be reset.

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia 5, PLAYERNAME. You are
Battler Ushiyomiya (from Umineko no
Na
ku Koro Ni.)
, sixth in line to the inheritance of your family at the time of a disastrous two-day meeting at your Rokkenjima estate. Everyone else is wondering just what the hell happened at Rokkenjima. You, on the other hand, are wondering just how the hell you wound up here – some Japanese village with two suns, three moons, and a sky that changes color constantly. Is this the Golden Land? You didn't think the Golden Land would come with so little gold... or with people trying to kill you... maybe the skills used for figuring out the Rokkenjima mystery will be of use...

You are a
Townie Detective
. You have the following special abilities:

Passive Abilities:

Forewarned, Forearmed
– You have been given the following information about the setup:
4
16
1
.

Active Abilities (use each at most once per game cycle):

Audit
– Once during the game, at night, you may use this ability to receive a list of numbers. You are not sure exactly what the numbers do, but they involve the setup in some way.
Research
– Each night, you may send a question about the setup to the Mod. You will receive an answer to that question that is guaranteed to be true
(
red text
)
. Questions that involve specific players' abilities or alignments will be rejected, and the Mod reserves the right to reject other questions if needed.

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia V, PLAYERNAME. You are
Hazama (from Blaz Blue: Continuum Shift)
, perpetual troll with a penchant for chaos. You'd think that this two-sun, three-moon village with the weird sky would be the perfect place for you... but you've also lost that handy invulnerability of yours, and it's not safe to troll without it. That doesn't mean you're not going to troll, but it's irritating nonetheless. Besides, you haven't seen Rachel around. Best deal with any threats, then see if you can get back to your home reality to troll her some more.

You are a
Townie Illusionist
. You have the following special abilities:

Active Abilities (use at most 1 per game cycle):

u mad?
– Each night, you may target a player other than yourself and a second player. Any action that targets the first player will be redirected to the second player if able.
(You may choose to make yourself the second target of this ability, if you wish.)

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia V, PLAYERNAME. You are
William “Bill” Adama (from Battlestar Galactica
, commander of the Galactica and head of the Colonial Fleet. Or rather, you were the head of the Fleet until you found a small section of the ship inside some ancient house under a very, very unusual sky (since when do binary stars have planets in stable orbits, much less with multiple large moons?). You'll have to put the prismatic display above you aside for a little while, though – you're not the only new arrival, and you've heard that some of the others are hostile. Luckily for you, Galactica's brig was part of the ship that came with you...

You are a
Townie Interrogator
. You have the following special abilities:

Active Abilities (use at most 1 per game cycle):

Protective Custody
– Each night, you may target a player. Actions submitted by that player that night will be blocked, and other actions that target that player that night will be blocked. In addition, you will gain the ability to talk to that player outside the thread via QuickTopic until the end of the next game day.

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia 5, PLAYERNAME. You are
Akiha Tohno (from Tsukihime)
, heir to the Tohno family... including its demon blood. It can be a problem even during the best of times, but now that you've been transported to this rainbow-skied traditional village? Of course, you've heard that there is trouble brewing in the little community that seems to have been transported here with you. Maybe letting your demon out wouldn't be such a bad idea after all.

You are a
Townie Vig-of-All-Trades
. You have the following special abilities:

Passive Abilities:

Second Life (triggered)
– If you would be killed by an ability and you have a grave counter, instead that kill will be prevented and you lose a grave counter.
Kill Method
– Your kill method is “found cold and lifeless”. Your suicide method is “lost control”.

Active Abilities (use at most 1 per game cycle):

Drain Heat (2-shot)
– Once during the game, at night, you may target a player. That player will die. If you successfully kill that player, you gain a grave counter.
Red Ring of Death (Rapid Action, 1-shot)
– Once during the game, at any time during the second game cycle or later, you may target a player. That player will die. This is a Rapid Action
(it resolves immediately upon receipt)
.
(In case it's not clear, you may not use this ability Day 1 or Night 1.)

Unleash the Demon Within (1-shot)
– Once during the game, at night, you may target a player. That player will die; however, you will die at the end of the night on which you use this ability, and nothing can prevent this.

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia V, PLAYERNAME. You are
Katerina “Kat” Donlan (from Gunnerkrigg Court)
, a student at the Court with an affinity for science and technology. Life at the Court can be a bit weird sometimes... which still didn't prepare you for finding yourself in some weird wooden village under a sky that looks like a rainbow was run through (and the suns and moons, can't forget those). However, the house you have adopted as your own seems to have a sizable supply of technical gear, which should be of assistance during the current problems. Now if only you could find Annie...

You are a
Townie Artificer
. You have the following special abilities:

Active Abilities (use at most 1 per game cycle):

Invent
- Each night, you may target a player and name an ability. The targeted player will receive a balanced 1-shot version of that ability at the beginning of the next day.
(You and your target will both be informed of the name of this ability and what this ability does. You may target yourself with this ability.)

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia V, PLAYERNAME. You are
Tarhalindur (from Real Life)
, a well-known moderator on MafiaScum with a penchant for new and unusual role ideas... and for getting hauled into his own games. Well, it's happened again... it's getting rather routine by this point. However, while you're handling things just fine, everyone else isn't, and that means it's Mafia time. Again. Maybe your skills as a Mafia game designer will be helpful?

You are a
Townie Role Designer
. You have the following special abilities:

Active Abilities (use at most 1 per game cycle):

Bait the "Flying Pumpkin That Shoots Lazers Out Of Its Ass" Award (1-shot)
– Once during the game, at night, you may target a player and design a role
(a set of passive and active abilities)
. That player's role will become a balanced version of your designed role at the beginning of the next game day; you will learn what balancing changes I made to your designed role, but not whether your target's role actually changed
(unless you target yourself)
. You cannot change a player's character name, series of origin, flavor, alignment, or factional abilities (if any). If you target yourself with this ability, it cannot be prevented or redirected by any means. Please note that if I like your designed role enough, I may nominate you for the actual Scummy; be creative!
(The balancing will be handled by the actual Tarhalindur, or a backup moderator should I be incapacitated.)

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia V, PLAYERNAME. You are
Yasumi Watahashi (from The Surprise of Haruhi Suzumiya)
, a first-year student at North High School who recently managed to join the SOS-dan. You're a lot like Suzumiya-san, so you're on your way to becoming an invaluable part of the Brigade. Well, you
were
until you got pulled into this weird pocket of reality (why Sealed Reality/Closed Space would have a Japanese village to go with that alien sky is probably the most confusing part of it). But the work of a Brigade member never stops; time to spread some fun to this place!

You are a
Townie Dreaming God
. You have the following special abilities:

Active Abilities (use Dreams of Reality and at most 1 other activated ability per game cycle):

Dreams of Reality
– Each night, you MUST choose one of the following ten 1-shot abilities:
The Boredom of Haruhi Suzumiya, Lone Island Syndrome, Endless Eight, The Day of Sagittarius, Snow Mountain Syndrome, Live a Live, Where Did the Cat Go?, Editor in Chief? Straight Ahead!, Wandering Shadow, and The Dissociation of Haruhi Suzumiya
. You're not sure what each one does, but it's sure to be fun!

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Mod Note: NOT a true Dreaming God. Instead, gains a 1-shot ability depending on which Dream of Reality is selected:
The Boredom of Haruhi Suzumiya: “
Redirect (1-shot)
- Once during the game, at night, you may target a player and a second player. Any targeted action the first player uses that night will target the second player instead of its original target.”
Lone Island Syndrome: “
Closed Circle (1-shot)
– Once during the game, at night, you may target a player. Any killing or recruiting action that targets that player that night will be blocked, as will any action your target uses that night.”
Endless Eight: “
Global Motivate (1-shot)
- Once during the game, at night, you may allow each player to use up to two activated abilities during this game cycle and allow each faction to use each of its factional abilities up to two times during this game cycle.”
The Day of Sagittarius: “
Reflect (1-shot)
- Once during the game, at night, you may target another player. Abilities that target that player that night will be redirected to their origin.”
Snow Mountain Syndrome: “
Roleblock (1-shot)
- Once during the game, during the night, you may target a player. Each action that player takes that night will be blocked.”
Live a Live: “
Protect (1-shot)
- Once during the game, during the night, you may target a player. Each killing ability that targets that player that night will be prevented.”
Where Did the Cat Go?: “
Investigate (1-shot)
- Once during the game, at night you may target a player. You will learn that player's alignment.” Mod Note: sane.
Editor in Chief? Straight Ahead!: “
Motivate (1-shot)
- Once during the game, at night, you may target a player. That player may use an additional activated or factional ability this game cycle.”
Wandering Shadow: “
Entangle (1-shot)
- Once during the game, at night, you may target two players. Each action that would target one of those players tonight instead targets both of those players.”
The Dissociation of Haruhi Suzumiya - “
Entangle (1-shot)
- Once during the game, at night, you may target two players. Each action that would target one of those players tonight instead targets both of those players.”

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia 5, PLAYERNAME. You are
Homura Akemi (from Puella Magi Madoka Magica)
, a magical girl with power over time. You have [classified information] in order to [classified information], so you [classified information]... and wound up here, in some Witch's realm. Better watch your step, wouldn't want something to bite off more than it can chew... you're out of guns, but maybe your newly-strengthened time powers can keep you safe...

You are a
Townie Time Traveler
. You have the following special abilities:

Passive Abilities:

Emergency Temporal Shift (Pregame Decision)
– At the beginning of the game, choose a game day. The first time you would be killed, instead you will reappear on the chosen game day. However, if this causes you to go backwards in time, then paradox will ensue and you will cease to exist.

Active Abilities (use at most 1 per game cycle):

Temporal Manipulation
– Each night, you may target a player, choose a game night within two night of the present game night, and choose forwards or backwards. The targeted player's action(s), if any, on the chosen game night will be shifted forwards or backwards
(depending on your choice)
two game cycles. The game state will be modified accordingly
(for example, if you cause a player to be killed early, the lynch count on previous game days may be decreased and other abilities may cease to happen)
. You cannot undo resolved lynches
(though you can cause additional lynches on past game days)
and cannot cause paradoxes to happen
(if this would happen, instead your ability is ineffective)
. You can cause players who should not have survived to survive through meddling with the past, but be warned – any player saved in this way will be negatively affected by this paradox.
(For example, on Night 2 you can target a player on any day between Night 1 and Night 4, sending his or her action forwards or backwards in time two days. You can successfully target dead players, provided that they were alive at the time your ability resolves.)

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia V, PLAYERNAME. You are
Lain Iwakura (from Serial Experiments Lain)
, an ordinary girl with some sort of unusual connection to the Wired which has been causing some surreal experiences for you. For example, you seem to be stuck in a traditional Japanese village under an alien sky with no Wired access. Huh. Luckily, you seem to have some sort of connection to a special friend who's willing to help you out...

You are a
Townie Speaker for the Mod
. You have the following special abilities:

Passive Abilities:

Mod Mason
– You may speak with the Moderator outside the thread at any time using this QuickTopic. This may or may not be of use.
Voice of Mod
– Up to ten times each game day, you may send the moderator a message of 100 words or less (I will cut you short if necessary). This message will be posted in the thread as if it were the Moderator's own. You may NOT vote or post when posting through the Mod
(you can try, but your attempt will not succeed)
and you may not abuse this ability
(Abuse includes but is not limited to using the Voice of Mod to get a player lynched and personal attacks. I will inform you if you cross the line instead of posting the problematic post)
.
Random Number Generator
– At the beginning of each game day except for the first, you will be told a random number. This number has game significance, but you do not know how.

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Mod Notes: Actually Lain Iwakura (from Serial Experiments Lain), Townie Dreaming God. Has a modified form of the Dreams of Reality ability. At the beginning of each game night, the Moderator will generate a random number between 1 and 10 using random.org and activate the Dream of Reality corresponding to the number generated:
1) There will be two lynches during the next game day; 2: Each player may use up to two activated abilities and each faction may use each factional ability up to two times during the next game cycle; 3: The next game day will have a nonretractable deadline of 5 real-life days; 4: During the next game day, players can't be replaced and inactive players will die at the end of the day; 5) During the next game day, players cannot quote posts; 6) During the next game day, lynch results in the player with the most FoS'es dying instead of the player with the most votes. 7) At the end of the next game cycle, the player with fewest posts dies; 8) The next game day will have a nonretractable deadline of two weeks; 9) The next game cycle is skipped entirely; 10) During the next game day, No Lynch will occur at deadline
. The number Lain learns corresponds to the Dream of Reality randomly selected in this way, with 0 corresponding to 10. All Dreams except 3 and 7 interact with Time Dilation.

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia V, PLAYERNAME. You are
Motoko Kusanagi (from Ghost in the Shell)
, an incredibly skilled Section 9 operative working on a case involving cyberbrain ghosts getting sucked into some weird web domain. However, instead of finding the domain you were looking for, you found some psychedelic's version of a Japanese town... and a dead body. Better figure out what's going on so you can safely get back to your main assignment...

You are a
Townie Setup Hacker
. You have the following special abilities:

Passive Abilities:

Hack the System (triggered)
– At the beginning of each game day including the first, you will learn two random rules that can possibly be in the setup. You will not learn the same rule twice. If Rule 0 is not active, then instead you will learn a random activated ability in the setup and the player who has it.

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia 5, PLAYERNAME. You are a
Black Hole (from Real Life)
, a consequence of General Relativity that has been confusing physicists for many decades now. You're not so much a new arrival to this mindfrak realm as a permanent resident; why you haven't consumed the entire place is a mystery. Then again, so is your apparent sentience and ability to communicate. It's probably better not to ask. Better yet, why not help deal with the current situation so that you can go back to being a black hole in peace?

You are a
Townie Temporal Mystery
. You have the following special abilities:

Passive Abilities:

Mystery Ability
– You're not sure exactly what this does, but you are sure it's a very powerful ability.
Accretion Disk (triggered)
– At the beginning of Day 4, you will learn an important piece of information about the setup. If you are killed before this ability triggers, instead at the time of your death you will be prompted to choose a player who will receive this information in your stead.
Kill Method
– Your kill method is “breached the event horizon”.

Active Abilities (use at most 1 per game cycle):

Liberate Tutemet Ex Infernis (1-shot, Rapid Action)
– Once during the game, at any time, you may target a player. That player will be removed from the game. If you choose to use this ability during the night, it cannot be prevented by any means and you will gain an additional vote upon its resolution.

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Mod Notes: At the beginning of Day 4, learns the text of his Time Dilation ability. If the information is instead passed on due to the Black Hole's death, the player chosen by the Black Hole receives the following information: “There is an ability in the game that lengthens the duration of certain abilities.”

Time Dilation is as follows (if the Black Hole is killed before Day 3, the ability lasts to the beginning of Day 4)...

Time Dilation
– So long as you are alive and for up to two days after you die, most abilities with a duration last two additional days.
(I.e, if a player was roleblocked during Night 2 while you are alive, then that player will also be roleblocked during Night 3 and Night 4.)

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia 5, PLAYERNAME. You are
Rika Furude (from Higurashi no
Na
ku Koro Ni)
, the last survivor of your family and an icon of your village. You've managed to escape the misfortune that was about to fall upon Hinamizawa, but the place where you've wound up doesn't seem much better. The sky is really strange, and you haven't found anyone. Not even Satoko. At least Hanyuu is still around... but why is she talking about resets?

You are a
Townie Slider
. You have the following special abilities:

Passive Abilities:

Fragmented Soul
– You have X votes at any one time, where X is the number of iterations of yourself existing on this game day. You cannot cause a player to be lynched through your votes alone, increases in the number of votes you had on past game days cannot cause a player to be not lynched
(though it can cause a player to be lynched), and you cannot gain more than three votes from this ability. This ability is ineffective during LyLo..
(This ability does not grant you more votes during current game days, only past game days.)

Reset Button (Triggered)
– Whenever you would be killed by an ability, instead you will be transported to Day X, where X is one plus the number of times this ability has triggered. This ability cannot transport you to Day 5 or later.
(Being transported backwards in time creates a new iteration of yourself, fueling your Fragmented Soul ability.)

Post Restriction
– You must smile in some way in each of your posts, either through use of a smilie or through the word smile (in English or a foreign language).

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Rika has the following hidden ability which becomes active Day 3:
Neighbor
– For the rest of the game, you may speak with
PLAYERNAME 3
,
Satoko Houjou (from Higurashi no
Na
ku Koro Ni)
outside the game at any time using this QuickTopic.

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia 5, PLAYERNAME. You are
Learning (from The Devil's Dictionary)
, or rather “the kind of ignorance distinguishing the studious”. We're not really sure what an abstract mechanic is doing in a Mafia game, but it's not the first time. Whatever. Use your acquired knowledge to deal with the scum in this mindfrak place, all right?

You are a
Mostly Vanilla Townie
. You have the following special abilities:

Passive Abilities:

Inside Information
– You have the following information about the setup:
- A moderator is a player in the game.
- Chairman Mao is in the game.
- A “game cycle” consists of the same-numbered game day and game night.
- There is a time travel mechanic in the game.
- There is a Cult in the game, but there are no abilities in the game that can force a player to change alignment.

Additional Inside Information
– You know that you will learn more information about the setup on Day 4.

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Mod Note: At the beginning of Day 4, learns the following:
- There is an ability in the game that lengthens the duration of certain abilities.

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia V, PLAYERNAME. You are
Arthur Dent (from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy)
, an ordinary British man who has gotten pulled into events well beyond your comprehension. Again. You're getting used to it, actually, though the small human-looking village (it looks like some travel photos you've seen, actually – were they Chinese or something?) below a many-colored sky with three moons and two suns is a bit odd. Maybe it's a Magrathean thing. But you'll be fine regardless. After all, you have your towel with you!

You are a
Townie Towel User
. You have no special abilities.

Win Condition (Town):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives.

Please confirm via return PM.

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia 5, PLAYERNAME. You are
Ryoko Asakura (from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)
, an artificial human designed by data aliens to interact with biological lifeforms. Unfortunately, you were poorly calibrated, and in this mindfrak space you've found yourself in such errors can be fatal...

You are a
Townie Humanoid Interface
. You have the following special abilities:

Passive Abilities:

Out of Ambit
– Your vote counts as zero votes and your FoS counts as zero FoS'es. You do not count as a player for the purposes of factional win conditions.
Data Seal (Triggered)
– When you are first targeted by an ability, when you make your fifth post in the game thread, when the game reaches its seventh page, or at the end of Day 1 (whichever comes first), you will die, and nothing can prevent this. If this ability was triggered by being targeted by an ability, that player will be prompted to choose a new target
(they cannot choose to retract the ability)

Win Condition:
Despite your role name, you have no win condition.

Please confirm via return PM.

Updated setup in easier-to-read PM form:

Rules:
<0> The first rule is that I cannot tell you any of the other rules.

<-1> I am the Mod thy God. If a dispute arises, my decision is final. That said, I am not infallible - if I make a mistake or you have a question, please inform me of the problem (preferably via PM or bold text) and I will correct it.
<-1a> Refusal to accept the moderators decision once the moderator has made it clear that the decision is final will be punished by modkill (if applicable) and blacklisting.
<-1b> I may, at my discretion, opt to use a greater punishment than usual on one or more players, provided that there is a clear pattern of more than one player violating the same rule and that the player(s) to be punished more severely broke that rule more severely or frequently than other players.
<1> This is a game. I hope that you have fun. In return, I ask that you not have your fun at the expense of the other players in this game (in other words, don't be a jackass). Repeated or extreme violations of this rule will result in replacement or modkill.
<1a> Attempting to use loopholes in the rules to gain an advantage in the game is considered jackassery, and will be treated as such. This applies to things like encrypted codes, invisible text, editing and deleting posts, etc. Please, use your common sense!
<1b> If there is any question about whether something might break the rules, it's probably best if you don't do it or at least ask first.
<1c> Rule 1 is a catchall rule; it is intended to preemptively outlaw any action I consider clearly unacceptable that I have not explicitly outlawed elsewhere, or for assigning a lesser punishment when I feel that the usual punishment for a rule violation would be too harsh. I will do my best not to use the first aspect of this rule, but if I decide that something qualifies as a Rule 1 violation then it is a Rule 1 violation. (See also Rule 0.)
<1d> Faking a violation of a rule will be treated as equivalent to actually violating that rule.
<2> If there is a conflict between a role and the rules, the role wins.
<3> Claiming that another player is your scumbuddy will result in a modkill. I have zero tolerance for scumbuddy claims.
<4> Do not quote role PMs. Violation of this rule will result in modkill. Role PM quoting includes quoting links to QuickTopics in your role PM or by paraphrases that in my judgment could only come from an actual Tarhalindur PM.
<5> You may not talk with other people about this game outside of the thread (but see Rule 2).
<6> This game will have a vote count and a FoS count. Each player will begin with 1 vote (but see Rule 2).
<6a> In a Normal game, the FoS count will have no effect on the game. Theme games make no such guarantee.
<7> To help the game run smoothly, votes and FoS'es should be made in bold text, and use the format Vote: XXXX and FoS: XXXX, respectively. An unvote and/or unFoS is required to remove a vote or FoS; to unvote or unFoS, please use the format Unvote: XXXX or UnFoS: XXXX.
<8> If a player or No Lynch has a majority of votes (or 50% of votes in the case of No Lynch), that player is lynched and cannot be unvoted. You may talk during twilight unless I state otherwise.
<9> Each game day will begin with a negotiable deadline of 2 weeks in place. At the end of each week, if I find the activity level in the game acceptable and the week does not end with the deadline, then I will extend the deadline by one week, to a maximum of twice the original deadline (a maximum of 4 weeks); the maximum deadlines are not retractable.
<10> If no one has reached majority by deadline, one of the following three things will happen:
a) If a majority of voting players are voting for a player, that player will be lynched.
b) If more than half of voting players are voting for one of two players, each of those players will send me a haiku. Whichever one is more amusing will be spared the rope. (Example: If thirteen players are voting out of 21, and 4 of those are voting for Player A and 5 are voting for Player B, Player A and Player B will need to send me haikus.)
c) If neither a) nor b) are applicable, No Lynch will occur.
<11> You may vote to No Lynch any number of times during the game. When at least 50% of voting players are voting No Lynch, No Lynch will occur. (To vote No Lynch, please use the format Vote: No Lynch. FoS'es for No Lynch will not be counted.)
<12> Don't drink and post, lest ye receive Public Humilitation. (This rule is an injoke and doesn't actually do anything.)
<13> This is an Open Night setup. As usual, lynching occurs during the day, actions are submitted at night and resolve at end of night (but see Rule 2). However, players are PERMITTED to talk in the thread during "night".
<13a> Nights will have a nonretractable deadline of 48 hours. Players are allowed to send in night choices early.
<14> When you die, stop posting. You may make a single "Bah!"/"Frak you!"/etc. post in the thread. You may not include game content in this post. In addition, once you are dead, please do not discuss the game with anyone other than the Mod until the game is over, as this makes the mod's life easier.
<15> All players need to post at least once every 72 hours, or inform me if this is not possible. If you do not post for 72 hours, you will be prodded. If you are prodded, then you will need to post something (a simple "/prodded" will suffice if you're short on time) within 72 hours or you will be replaced. You will receive an Official Warning the second time you fail to post for more than 72 hours. The third time you fail to post for 72 hours, you will be replaced.
<15a> If you have limited access, you need to post to this effect, either in V/LA or in the thread. If I prod you despite you declaring V/LA status, call me on it and I will be duly embarrassed.
<15b> If you post before I get around to handing out the prod, you avoid the prod.
<15c> Players who have a history of being lurkers may be Officially Warned for a first prod and replaced for a second.
<16> Players may only use one activeated ability per day (but see Rule 2).
<17> This game will start on Day 1 after all players have confirmed (by the method specified in their role PM).
<18> Any player who is modkilled loses the game unless I specify otherwise. I will modkill in either the fashion that I deem least damaging to the game state or the fashion that I deem most damaging to the modkilled player's faction, at my discretion.
<19> I reserve the right to add rules if necessary (or if I really, really want to).
<20> Okay, that's enough formal-sounding stuff. Good luck, have fun!

Game-Specific Rules:

<21> Whenever a player breaks a rule other than those explicitly punishable by modkill or other punishment defined in the rule, that player will receive a Rules Infraction. A player with five Rules Infractions will receive an Official Warning. A player with two Official Warnings will be forcibly replaced.
<22> A player who is revived by a temporal paradox will be removed from the game at the end of the game cycle after the one in which they were revived.
(For example, if a player was revived by a temporal paradox during Day 2, he will die at the end of Night 3.)

<23> Abilities resolve in the following order: Global Manipulations, Manipulations, Protections, Kills, Investigations, Special Actions. Manipulations resolve in dependency order
(i.e, if Player 1 blocks Player 2 who blocks Player 3, Player 1's ability resolves first blocking Player 2 and Player 2's block fails to resolve)
.
<42> Players are required to have a towel at all times. They don't have to have it on them, they just have to have them.
(This is a joke rule and doesn't actually do anything.)

Secret Note: Rule 21 is literal. A player with 10 Rules Infractions won't receive a second Official Warning barring another reason.

Potential Rules:

Lain:

<24> There will be two lynches during this game day
<25> Each player may use up to two activated abilities and each faction may use each factional ability up to two times during this game cycle
<26> The next game day will have a nonretractable deadline of 5 real-life days
<27> During this game day, players can't be replaced and inactive players will die at the end of the day
<28> During this game day, players cannot quote posts
<29> During this game day, lynch results in the player with the most FoS'es dying instead of the player with the most votes.
<30> At the end of the next game cycle, the player with fewest posts dies
<31> This game day will have a nonretractable deadline of two weeks
<32> This game cycle is skipped entirely
<33> During this game day, No Lynch will occur at deadline
Vimes:

<34> Until the next game day, the base time until deadline is increased by 1 week.
<35> The next time a player would be lynched, instead that player will be investigated, the results posted in the thread
(the investigation functions as a mod-confirmed Sane Cop's investigation, except the results will be posted in the thread)
, then the vote count will be reset.
Quantum Mechanics:

<36> This game day, the ability resolution order will be reversed.
Chairman Mao:

<37> This next game cycle is skipped entirely.
<38> This game day has a fixed deadline of 2 weeks
<39> This game day has a fixed deadline of 12+3d6 days
<40> During this game day, No Lynch will occur at deadline.
<41> This game day, instead of lynching a player, players cast votes to elect a Chairman (King) by majority vote. The King will then decide which player should be lynched today.
<43> During this game day, attempts to unvote will be unsuccessful.
<44> During this game day, votes will shift down by one player slot.
<45> During this game day, no player may make a post with more than 50 words (including quotes). Failure to abide by this restriction is a Rules Infraction.
<46> During this game day, no player may make a post with less than 50 words (not including quotes). Failure to abide by this restriction is a Rules Infraction.
<47> All active ability sanities will be inverted during this game cycle (kills become protections and vice versa, roleblocks become motivates and vice versa, investigations receive opposite results, mod-confirmed investigations receive no result, redirects change target from target 2 to target 1 rather than vice versa, recruits do not work).
Joe McCarthy:

Ha! With so few people it will be so easy to dominate this little universe...

You are the
Beta Mafia Temporal Doppelganger
. You have the following special abilities:

Factional Abilities (faction members may use Falseclaim at any time, and faction combined may send a member to use each other factional ability once per game cycle):

. You may talk outside the thread with the other members of the Beta Mafia at any time using this QuickTopic.
Beta Mafia Falseclaim (Rapid Action)
- At any time, you may send me an ability (or set of abilities) and a role name. If you do, I will make a fake role PM for you using the given name and abilities at the earliest possible opportunity. This is a Rapid Action
(it resolves immediately upon receipt)
. You may use this ability at will, and using this ability never counts towards limits on the number of activated abilities you can use in a given time period.
Beta Mafia Factional Kill
– Each night, the Beta Mafia may send one of its members to kill another player.
Beta Mafia Factional Jack of All Trades
– Each night, the Beta Mafia may have one of its members use one of the following limited-use abilities:
Redirect (2-shot)
– Twice during the game, at night, a Beta Mafioso may target a player and a second player. Targeted actions the first player uses that night will target the second player instead of their original target.
Fantastic Invention (2-shot)
– Twice during the game, at night, a Beta Mafioso may target a player and name an ability. The targeted player will receive a 1-shot ability at the beginning of the next game day, which will appear to be a balanced 1-shot version of the named ability but will in fact do nothing.
Background Check (2-shot)
– Twice during the game, at night, a Beta Mafioso may target a player. That Beta Mafioso will learn that player's full role name and the name of all active and passive abilities that player possesses.
Execute (1-shot, Rapid Action)
– Once during the game, at any time, a Beta Mafioso may remove target player player from the game, effectively killing that player. The kill method for this kill will be “modkilled”. This is a Rapid Action
(it resolves immediately upon receipt)
. This ability cannot be used Day 1, and it cannot be used if there are fewer than 11 players alive.

Passive Abilities:

Emergency Temporal Shift (Pregame Decision, Triggered)
– At the beginning of the game, choose a game day. The first time you would be killed by any means, instead you will reappear on the chosen game day. However, if this causes you to go backwards in time, then paradox will ensue and you will cease to exist.
Safe Claim
– You know that no version of
The Doctor (from Doctor Who)
is not in the game, and that
Mikuru Asahina (from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)
is not in the game.
Kill Method
– Your kill method is “exterminated”.

Active Abilities:

Call Forward
– Target a living or dead player, a living player, and another living player. You will copy that player's activated or Beta Mafia Factional JoaT ability
(if any)
from two game nights ago and use it on the second player. If it is a redirect, it will redirect that player to the third player. You cannot copy 1-shot abilities or Rapid Actions with this ability.
An Offer I Can't Refuse (1-shot, Rapid Action)
- Once during the game, at any time, a Beta Mafioso may choose to write a message in place of the Mod. Send me a PM with your message (and, if you wish, a date) if you wish to use this ability, and I will post your message in the thread in my name at that time; if you do not specify a time to post your message, then I will post the message at the earliest opportunity. The restrictions on this ability are 1) The message must be 200 words or less, 2) you cannot use this post to make a personal insult, 3) this message will have no lasting effect on the game state, 4) you cannot use the Voice of Mod, and 5) you must begin your message with the words "Point of order!" and end your message with the words "End point of order"
(I will add these words in myself if you fail to add them in properly)
. This is a Rapid Action
(it resolves immediately upon receipt)
.
(You cannot use this ability to have the Mod tell players what to do.)

Time Stop (Rapid Action, 1-shot)
– Once during the game, during the day, you may use this ability to end the game day. You cannot use this ability less than 96 hours into a game day, you cannot use this ability during Day 1, and you cannot use this ability if there are fewer than 11 players alive. This is a Rapid Action
(it resolves immediately upon receipt)
.
(The game goes immediately into night, just as if deadline had been reached.)

Win Condition (Beta Mafia):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives OR when at least half of all living players are Beta Mafia-aligned for at least an entire game cycle, or when nothing can prevent one of these conditions.

Please confirm via return PM.

– Once during the game, at any time, you may use this ability. When you do, the ability resolution order is reversed until the end of the day. This is a Rapid Action
(it resolves immediately upon receipt)

(The ability resolution order in reverse order is special actions, investigations, kills, protections, manipulations, and global manipulations. Manipulations resolve in dependency order.)

Safe Claim

(
Alice (from Alice in Wonderland)
)
should be safe for you to claim.
Inside Information

- A moderator is a player in the game.
- Chairman Mao is in the game.
- A “game cycle” consists of the same-numbered game day and game night.
- There is a time travel mechanic in the game.

(it resolves immediately upon receipt)
.

Win Condition (Beta Mafia):
You win when all other factions have left the game and at least one member of your faction survives OR when at least half of all living players are Beta Mafia-aligned for at least an entire game cycle, or when nothing can prevent one of these conditions.

Mod Notes: Alice has two hidden passive abilities and a hidden active ability which will be revealed to her when she dies:

Down the Rabbit Hole (triggered)
– You will die two pages or three posts (whichever comes first) into Day 3, and nothing can prevent this. If you are killed by a lynch or ability while in the graveyard, you will be removed from the game.
Cheshire Cat
– You retain your passive and active abilities and the Beta Mafioso ability while in the graveyard.
(You cannot post, vote, or FoS while in the graveyard. You cannot use Beta Mafia factional abilities other than the Beta Mafioso ability while in the graveyard. You do not count towards factional win conditions – including the Mafia factional win condition – while in the graveyard.)

Reality Revision (Rapid Action)
– Each game cycle, at ay time, you may target a post and name a player. That post will be changed so that it was made by the named player. In addition, you may choose to pull that post forward in time to the present
(this will cause the post to dissappear from the past and be reposted in the present)
. This ability may only be used from the graveyard and may not be used if the number of players in the game is less than or equal to the number of Mafiosos plus four
(in other words, this ability may not be used at LyLo)
. This is a Rapid Action
(it resolves immediately upon receipt)

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia 5, PLAYERNAME. You are
Chairman Mao (from the card game Mao)
, infamous Communist leader and common trigger of Mind Screw experiences. At this point, you really don't need much of an introduction. You just need allies. Once the Communist party has enough followers, the capitalist pigs won't be able to resist the will of the people. But most of the people here don't seem to like the Party, so you'll have to find an incentive for recruitment...

You are the
Communist Leader
. You have the following special abilities:

Factional Abilities (faction combined may use each once per cycle, Falseclaim excepted):

Communist
– You are a member of the Communist cult, currently consisting only of yourself. You may communicate with other Cultists (if/when you gain them) at any time using this QuickTopic
Communist Factional Kill
– Each day, if the Communist Leader does not choose to use his Come With Me If You Want to Live ability, the Communists may send one of their number to target a player. That player will die.
Chairman Mao Ability
– So long as a Communist survives, Rule 0
(<0>: The first rule is that I cannot tell you any of the other rules.)
will be in effect. If the last Communist dies before the beginning of Day 3, this ability will last for two cycles (four phases) after the death of the last Communist.
(The phases are Day and Open Night.)

Communist Falseclaim (Rapid Action)
- At any time, you may send me an ability (or set of abilities) and a role name. If you do, I will make a fake role PM for you using the given name and abilities at the earliest possible opportunity. This is a Rapid Action
(it resolves immediately upon receipt)
. You may use this ability at will, and using this ability never counts towards limits on the number of activated abilities you can use in a given time period.

Passive Abilities:

Safeclaim
– You know that no characters from
Neon Genesis Evangelion
are in the game.
Kill Method
– Your kill method is “executed”.
Diplomatic Immunity
– So long as you are the only member of the Communists, you are immune to killing abilities.
(Lynches and modkills work normally.)

Active Abilities (use Dreams of Reality and at most 1 other activated ability per game cycle):

Come With Me If You Want to Live
– Each night, you may target a player. If that player is Town aligned, then the next time that player would be killed by any means other than modkill this game, instead that player will be given the option to join the conspiracy. If that player accepts, he or she will become kill-immune until the end of the night and become a member of the Communists at the beginning of the next day. Otherwise, that player will be removed from the game, and nothing can prevent this. This ability resolves as a protection.
(This ability triggers only if that player would otherwise be killed; it is prevented from triggering by a successful protection.)

Dreams of Reality (autocast)
– Each night, you must choose one of the following ten 1-shot abilities:
Revolution Day, Five-Year Plan, No Plan Survives Contact With the Enemy, Imminent Danger, Party Congress, Cultural Revolution, Confusion in the Ranks, Brevity is the Soul of Wit, Little Red Book, Opposite Day
. You're not exactly sure what each ability does, but it's sure to be fun!

Win Condition (Communists):
You win when all other factions have left the game OR when at least half of all living players are Communist-aligned for at least an entire game cycle, or when nothing can prevent one of these conditions.
(If no players are alive at the end of the game, your faction will be victorious.)

Please confirm via return PM.

Dreams of Reality are as follows:

Revolution Day: The next game cycle is skipped entirely.
Five-Year Plan: The next game day has a fixed deadline of 2 weeks
No Plan Survives Contact With the Enemy: The next game day has a fixed deadline of 12+3d6 days
Imminent Danger: During the next game day, No Lynch will occur at deadline.
Party Congress: This game day, instead of lynching a player, players cast votes to elect a Chairman (King) by majority vote. The King will then decide which player should be lynched today.
Cultural Revolution: During the next game day, attempts to unvote will be unsuccessful.
Confusion in the Ranks: During the next game day, votes will shift down by one player slot.
Brevity is the Soul of Wit: During the next game day, no player may make a post with more than 50 words (including quotes). Failure to abide by this restriction is a Rules Infraction.
Little Red Book: During the next game day, no player may make a post with less than 50 words (not including quotes). Failure to abide by this restriction is a Rules Infraction.
Opposite Day: All active ability sanities will be inverted during the next game cycle (kills become protections and vice versa, roleblocks become motivates and vice versa, investigations receive opposite results, mod-confirmed investigations receive no result, redirects change target from target 2 to target 1 rather than vice versa, recruits do not work).

Little Red Book and Brevity cancel each other out if both are active. All of these interact with Time Dilation.

You guys can tell from that list what I was.

Comments about The Vig On Me:

Starbuck. You can't read me for shit. Leave it to the professionals... like Vi. (seriously, Vi's got enough meta on me that it' practically impossible to avoid her figuring me out) Question, though: how many games have we even been in together recently where you "read me so town" and I was scum? I don't recall any off the top of my head.

Just because I haven't said it in a thread, doesn't mean it isn't true.

I apologize (again) for shooting you, in the end it's a game.

Ahhh. I guess you've read some games lately.

No problem, I don't mind much. I just find the "I READ HIM SO WRONG ALL THE TIME MUST SHOOT" thing to be strange as we haven't actually been in the same game recently, and I recall like... 1 scum game where I actually did remotely well with you also playing.

Blast from the Past

If a player would use a night action on a player, instead that player will target the player below their intended target on the player list.

Casper, the friendly ghost

Once there are five or more dead players, five randomly selected dead players will be entered into a subgame using the Vengeful Mafia setup. Every player who wins this subgame will gain the ability to vote by PM while in the "AT Field Breached" section.

I thought it was quite funny when someone said they're voting "Yea" only because it says "friendly" in the title - I choose the titles myself ..

This game...

I would've never guessed our roles gave us one-shot abilities.
Especially not when we got both a one-shot global motivate and a single-target motivate the night our motivated actions took place.
I thought it was a result of the motivation or something that gave us the motivation abilities.
Probably because we got the hot-potato the same night that I guessed as such.

Being cult with Faraday might've been fun... I wonder.
Cult of Irish Drunks probably.

I guess scum "might" have had an advantage considering they probably knew our heads via Elliscum.

Btw can someone give me a tl;dr about why Reck got modkilled? I thought it was mindscrew shenanigans. :/

- Reck\Fate & Tar\Tasky\UK shared a Mod-Mason QT - excerpts from the QT

Post 1:
Tar:
Hi Screaming Death Clan! You get to talk to the mod team in here. If you're lucky, you might just get cryptic insights into the game... or we might just be trolling the hell out of you. Who knows?

After that there are 61 posts with Masons asking questions to the mod and also some joking around\general posting.

Post 63 onwards
Reck:
Summon: SpyreX

Tar:
That better not be serious.

Reck:
Oh it is. Problem?

Tar:
Last chance.
Was that a serious attempt to bring SpyreX into the Screaming Death Clan hydra?

Reck:
Wouldn't YOU like to know?

Tar:
Mod decision regarding your player slot forthcoming.

Fate:
SpyreX isn't in our hydra for this game, what the fuck Tar are you being serious?

Tar:
I asked for clarification regarding whether or not you were actually attempting to bring SpyreX into the Screaming Death Clan hydra (in bold text, aka official mod text for QTs) in order to assess a possible rules violation. Instead of a serious answer, I received a nonserious response from the head responsible. That is utterly and completely unacceptable in a Tarhalindur game and will not be tolerated. Under ordinary circumstances I would simply issue an Official Warning (for a total of 2 Official Warnings for your player slot) and forcibly replace the Screaming Death Clan hydra with Fate (who has NOT violated any rules). These are not ordinary circumstances, however, and I must decide the most appropriate response given this.

Reck:
Tar, seriously, what the hell? With all the other trololololtastic shit that's been going on in this QT, you honestly decide to get all uppity and shit with me over jokingly summoning SpyreX? Hell, for all I knew, I could actually summon people into the game. No shit I wasn't adding SpyreX to the hydra. Did you see him post in here? Don't you think if I was actually doing that I would have fuckin' asked you first? Jesus. Take a goddamned Xanax and stop overreacting to a JOKE. If you can't keep up with the sort of trolling mindfuckery that you INVITE in these games then don't make these games.

Reck:
The fact is there was no reason to take that as anything outside of a joke, unless you actually thought I was going to break a sitewide rule and risk getting myself banned like that. And unless you actually thought SpyreX was using SEEKRIT COMMUNICATIONS to help us out and we didn't give him this QT link. And unless you actually thought I would be able to distinguish between trollmod and srsmod. Come on, Tar, this is a drastic overreaction.

Reck:
You said we've already received an official warning... for what...

Tar:
I asked for a clarification, looking for confirmation that your "summon SpyreX" was a joke. I even asked repeatedly and used bold text (aka mod text for QTs) to indicate that this was a situation that called for a serious response. Instead, I received a trolling response without the requested clarification, and that breaks the one rule I will NOT tolerate violations of (the OTHER Rule 0, aka Rule -1, aka the insubordination rule).

Up until I looked at the thread this morning (note that part of the reason for the delay was to give me time to think about the situation - the other was to give Reck a chance to respond), I had simply planned to grant an Official Warning and be done with it (as your slot has received a second Official Warning for excessive rules infractions, this would usually result in forced replacement - probably with Fate - but there's a Dream of Reality in play that complicates this by barring replacements). I might even have downgraded the response if you had made it clear that you were not sure whether I was being serious and requested leniency on those grounds.

Reck's response to the situation, however, constitutes a THIRD insubordination infraction, and this one is EXPLICITLY blacklist grounds* to boot (refusal to accept a moderator decision, specifically the decision that Reck's response to my request for clarification constituted a rules violation). Reck, welcome to my blacklist, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Given the current situation, I am modifying the existing rules (amending the active Dream) and force-replacing the Screaming Death Clan hydra with Fate. This has the desired effect while inflicting the least damage on the game state.

* - See Rule 0a in Tech Tree Mafia. It's numbered slightly differently here courtesy of Chairman Mao, but it's a core part of my ruleset.

Reck:

I'm sorry I didn't realize the almighty mod Tarhalindur who holds himself in such high regard and prides himself on his mindfuckery wasn't fucking with me. When I typed Summon: SpyreX, it was meant as a total joke. Like I said -- you never know what hidden mechanics are in play, and somehow maybe I could actually create some shenanigans with it.

Guess what? Your "Rule -1" isn't actually listed. The ONLY rule you have listed is this: <0>: The first rule is that I cannot tell you any of the other rules. You are therefore banning me from your games, blacklisting me, and force-replacing me out of this game for a rule that doesn't exist.

So this is our second Official Warning for violating a ruleset that we know nothing about? So the "Rules Infractions" aren't a mechanic in the game and are actual RULES that we can get in trouble for? Rules that we don't know about? That's fucked up. And then you can't take accurate moderator action because there's an in-game mechanic that complicates things by barring replacements in the game?

Seriously, Tar. What the hell?

I shouldn't have to "request leniency" from you on something that was a joke. I explained why it was a joke. I explained that I didn't understand it was a serious thing because I didn't know. Please show me in the rules where you stated posting things in bold is "Official Mod Communication" and not a function of the game itself. You can't, because YOU DON'T HAVE ANY RULES LISTED ANYWHERE.

My response to the situation constitutes a "third insuboridination infraction". Dude, you seriously think that highly of yourself that people can be "insubordinate" to you? If a mod is wrong and out of line, putting them in their place isn't "insubordination". Jesus, I'll take my blacklist with pride if you're that much of an arrogant prick. And to think I actually used to respect you.

I can't wait for the game to be over, man. You're seriously out of line here as a mod, and maybe you need everyone else to show you how much of a horrible reaction you had before you can swallow your Empire State-sized ego and admit you were wrong.

"Core Rules in Past Tar Games Are Probably Rules Here Too"? This assumes I can be arsed to go dig up old Tarhalindur games just to read the rules because some of them might apply here. Still not sure what rule I broke, specifically, nor am I sure why this was "no ordinary situation".

Tar:

Continuing to post multiple times in an active game QT after your forced replacement/modkill is utterly and completely unacceptable and constitutes a violation of game integrity. I am assessing this situation currently to determine what level of response is necessary.
Thread reopened. If I see xRECKONERx post in here again prior to endgame, I will refer him to mith immediately for a site ban.

From what I understand the reverse action resolution thing somehow prevented these from working. I think that there might also have been the sanity inverter dream in effect at the same time. So your kills became protects...that occurred last in the resolution order, I *think*?
