Facebook status update that I made after making an examination of my own psyche because I was bored.


1. The Lady Gaga, fabulously gay part of myself. I think we all have a little bit of this inside us. No, I'm not saying everybody's a little bit homosexual. I'm saying that all of us have a part of us that behaves(or would like to behave) like a gay man. Minus the liking guys and shit. That same mindset of not giving a shit what everyone else thinks.
2. The Blink-182, self-pitying part of myself. Luckily, this is the least dominant part of myself, and it only really exposes itself when I get really down.
3. The Metallica part of myself, that'd really like to just choke people that piss it off. Believe me, this part of me exists, I just keep it in check.
4. The Modest Mouse part of myself, that just wishes evrybody would just chill the fuck out. This is the part that ends up dominating whenever I'm in public. Although the Lady Gaga part gets a good bit of exposure too.
Notice that each part has parallels with some of the other parts. For example, both the Lady Gaga and Metallica parts are arrogant. Both Lady Gaga and Modest Mouse are..... well, there's no better way to say that they're just plain happier than the other two. The REALLY interesting part though, is that these parts change in their balance over time. And often they'll shift depending on the music I've been listening to. And if any of these elements were to be in dominance or disappear, I wouldn't really function as a member of society. Whew. So yeah. Now that I've told that to everyone, I can go back to thinking about more productive things. Like the paper I have due next Tuesday. >.>
