I'm not fond of the way he addresses you, he gives me the biggest gut feel from the last two days, and I really don't like how he's setting up the plan. It seems to me that it's more of a plan to victory for him, rather then it being a plan to victory for town

The unfortunate part of that is that it makes no sense for you to be innocent. Mrs. M was nk'd which makes it you. Can't kill yourself, can't kill BP Yates, can't kill me because I was supposed to hide behind you. The only choice was Ms. M.

Yates makes sense as a cop. The investigation part of my role (When I hide behind scum, I die,) was removed. That would mean town has no investigation role whatsoever. No protector role. No roleblocker. Just a traitor, a hider and a BP townie. What's the point in having a traitor with no cop?

What's the point in having a BP townie? It's a way to explain not being nightkilled and makes sense as a fakeclaim.

Hider is a pretty out there role to fake claim, especially with restrictions.

Cop is a common role, the setup requires an investigation role

A. My card draw is innocent. 1x BP. I claimed before Ree did.
B. He probably was told that HE would show up on any investigation. Think about it: He puts together this plan to have me for-sure investigated last night (in fact, two nights in a row he's tried to choose it). If he knew it was his alignment, he'd be able to effectively frame people.
I've seen third party hiders as survivors. He could also simply be a framer. He knew where your investigation was going, did he not?
