My advice to Chumba would be don’t 100% anything unless there is some kind of confirmation. I would say with hindsight it’s easy to see some players you had a 100% read on weren’t that role or whatever so if you put “the other” possibility in your world view then as the game progresses you might think to yourself so and so is 90% scum but as time progresses, another player has come in and gone 80% and your first read might be at 60% - you can still say that you think those 2 players are likely to be scum but you are acknowledging the game often throws up crazy twists


Also, I know I’m referring to your other account, but that’s twice I’ve played with you and you’ve spotted a lie that I just couldn’t understand so try to be really clear or if the lie is subtle, maybe try not to give it so much credit as 100%


I don’t profess to be amazing at this game but from my perspective that’s the things I think would have a significant impact on your game

Let's not play blame games or be negative. If you think someone underperformed, let's focus on giving constructive feedback about how they can improve

Chumba, I think you can try to improve your play by being less narrow minded and more open to different perspectives

If you find yourself in tunnel vision, take a step back. Try to see if their actions could make sense from any other points of view. Think about, if X actually was town, could their actions make any sense? Would someone else be likely scum?

In terms of Havo, if people are tuning out, repeating the same points over and over again probably won't convince people either. Either rephrase your case or wait until Havo does something else in thread that is worth commenting on.

In terms of Nero, just because someone doesn't agree with you or play the way you like doesn't necessarily mean they are scum. You need to consider whether what they did comes from a town-motivated or scum-motivated mindset.

Also, as the game goes on, there is more information in the thread. Tchill and eth0s's read of Nero was very early in the game. Whereas by LYLO, I think Nero Cain was one of the more proactive players and that should have contributed to townreading him.

This was literally one of the shortest review threads we've ever had--literally the only change from the original setup was changing the roleblocker to two-shot; we finished the review in less than a page.

That’s the same thing people cram down my throat every game. The funny thing is I do that. I did that.

I think Nero Cain was one of the more proactive players and that should have contributed to townreading him.

But activity isn’t AI. Everyone knows that. Look at schad and chick? Nero was more active as we got closer to mylo/lylo and I didn’t feel he was bringing much to the table.

The biggest thing for me with Nero was how he acted when I voted him in lylo. He didn’t seem nervous. At the very least when a player knows another townie just voted him, he should try hard to change their mind. He should be scared. I just didn’t see it.

I'm actually a super easy read and I'm surprised that not many ppl have picked up on it but that could just be due to this site being alot of bad players. Not to toot my own horn or anything but I was like super spot on in LYLO. I also had the flu most of d1 so that's why I wasn't super active early on.
