I'll try to re-read the thread wiht all the new information we have got.

I think d8P’s logic is dangerous, but I don’t think he is. I see no reason to conclude that Nanook must independent from the Blue Sun mafia. Nor do I see any reason to conclude that Nanook must have been the Fritzlerer. Nor do I think that 2-person scum groups are certain.

But I can’t see how d8P and ~ds~ aren’t telling the truth. If this is all a clever mafia gambit, with a second nightkilling group still at large coming out as masons would be suicidal. So I think it’s safe to conclude them innocent today.

I’m not sure what to make of the speed of his bandwagon. On one hand, compared to the slowness of Iammars’s and my own (admittedly over holidays, but still a couple weeks), it seems very hasty, and it drew support from Iammars voters and Tyger voters. On the other hand, Nanook’s was hasty and with broad support, and he *was* antitown.

I *really* don’t like your dangerously reckless “may as well just finish him”- there was a good reason to keep him alive. At that point, regardless of his alignment, it was better to have him speak. If he was protown and had information about mafia setup, it could be vital that this not be lost with his death. If he was antitown, nothing would be lost by waiting, and he might have let something slip. And if he, like Nanook, appeared to be stalling, we could reevaluate then. (To say nothing of what actually happened- a verifiable claim.)

Plus your probing for ~ds~’s role name. It is unnecessary at this point, since ~ds~ will live or die by the mason claim. But it could potentially be very harmful for the town to have that information revealed.

The fact that you keep defending Iammars I’ll not evaluate until after the evaluation of Iammars himself is finished. Though I still don’t see, even if for whatever reason you don’t think Iammars should be lynched today, why you would not want him to at least explain his suspicious behavior.

There is possibly a thematic arguement for having a doctor protect d8P tonight (Blue Sun sucessfully targetting River is possibly not a good thing). I'm not going to press this arguement, however and it's moot if we manage to catch the last hand of Blue today.

I sort of want to vote one of the deathsquiggle voters, and looking over the thread there are lots of other reasons to be suspicious of armlx (not on the Nanook bandwagon until the very end, misleading comment about Nanook's votes, just tried to direct cops and wanted to lynch a claimed mason), so

Good Lord, you are the least trusting person imaginable. Cop should under no circumstances investigate either of the masons. This is a no-brainer. It's an enormous waste of an investigation. Both of them are out and whether they're scum or town (and my money's on town), other scum will want them dead as endgame approaches. If this doesn't resolve itself with a confirming death in the next couple of days, then we can worry about it, but I don't think that's likely to happen.

Again, it is totally unreasonable to presume we have two three-person mafia groups plus the contract kidnapper. Mafia groups are normally balanced. So we have two two-person mafia groups plus the kidnapper. That's what I said at the start of the day and I stand by it.

And what makes you think the kidnapper was not part of the one mafia group, or at the very least linked to them like a mafia spy or something? Why does any of that preculude the other scum group still having two people left who know who the other one is and will work together? I'm afraid I'm still not seeing your logic here.

Anyway, though, with the mason claim, the logical thing to do is

1) do you REALLY think someone was going to finish him off before he checked in simply on my sayso? Please, I suggest we speedlynch people all the time, I have yet to see anyone take me seriously. Although I do get lynched for it alot....

2) I'm not fishing for ds's role name. Doc Tam is the only possibility for a mason buddy with River Tam, this isn't news.

3) I'm already revenge voting armlx in another game, if his claim is BS, I'll join in on him, otherwise I'm still voting you.

4) I disagree on Iammars because I don't find his actions suspicious.
