After the Yates/Darthe/Nero townie blowout, and AA9 being totally useless then showing up to vote her competing wagons, and my misreading Diabolik as town, this game is an abject failure for me in terms of getting reads on players that aren't faking guilties on each other. It has sapped my motivation.

I'm just going to sheep whatever, if you can't accept that feel free to lynch me.

Being defeatist doesn't seem like the DGB I've played with before.

This has been one of the worst towns EVER. I'm part of the problem with the AA9 lynch and my Diabolik misread.

Any not-me lynch has a 55% probability of hitting scum.

to be honest, town has been pretty shit this game, myself included. Yates gambit was alright had the cop not died but Nero's was fucking terrible. And AA9 and her "I'm catching up" for 100 pages before screaming how stupid we were for the last 20 has seriously annoyed me.

Rubicon I think is gonna be my vote today. DGB a close second, but Rubi was literally voting AA9 to halt discussion yesterday

These posts were also not serious. I was doing my usual response when someone calls me scum, that is, brush it off with a joke and demonstrate that I'm not taking the pressure too seriously.

At this point, I was still against quicklynching AA9, but she was still a couple votes away from the lynch. I figured I'd let her get to L-1 and then unvote and take a look at the people who'd voted after me.

After yesterday's interminable Nero/Yates/Darthe debacle, I find myself agreeing.

This post and a couple others got me thinking about whether it could be useful to town to end the game early. We'd already had a

huge

amount of discussion, arguably too much, everybody's reads were wrong - a couple more flips, probably even a scum flip, might be exactly what we needed.

So I let it happen. It honestly didn't occur to me that this would put us in a LyLo or near-LyLo situation today. I didn't add up those numbers.

In retrospect, this whole series of posts by me was an extraordinarily bad idea. I made it possible for Diabolik to get away with ending the day early and mislynching a townie. If we lose, I deserve a good chunk of the blame.
