Gah. And the "didn't happen" is true, DP, but only if I trust the list above...but, for all I know, Xanthe was just faking the senders' names to cover. I'm the first one to admit the existence of the sender's name in my notification (or, indeed, to have received a card at all).

And I'm feeling extremely uneasy about the fact that you claim to have deduced that Dmi is scum...and he's said the same just about the same of you...but neither one of you has voted. It makes me feel as though you're both sitting there waiting to add a second vote -- even if it's against

Is there any scenario in which this game could feasibly go into another day? I'm wondering if there's anything to be deduced from the fact that mole has titled the thread "last day." Does that mean for sure that there's only one bad guy left? Or is it impossible for us to go into a second day regardless of the number of the alignments left?

Another thing, though -- my vote did sit on Dmi for 40 minutes or so without you jumping on it. I wish I knew whether or not you were online during that period...

If Dmi is indeed responsible for the choice of songs (which seems more than likely), then a card sent from song-chooser Dmi to Doomcow (as chosen by Xanthe) could very well appear as a commercial for a radio station, right?

I also could imagine that whomever receives a letter dies (anthrax anyone?), but a sender?

But Xanthe claimed to send Christmas Cards and I don't think that an advertisement is the same thing at all.

But there are two explanations, off the top of my head, that make sense if you're innocent:

1. DoomCow's scum status caused him to want Xanthe's temporary goodwill without confirming her story too closely in case he needed to off her later
2. Flavor somewhat inconsistent with the role due to the mod changeover (like the lack of song in the opening post this morning).

I don't like rush votes in the endgame. I want to explore all possibilities. Like you brought up the whole card sending thing. More later.

I read this indeed as one scum or SK left. Which means a result after today. Even in the case of a no-lynch.

I could easily say yes and clear myself. Honestly, I was not at the computer during that time.

Which one of us is the most likely scum based on the role.

Santa Claus? I could see Santa in some perverted way as a serial killer, but that option is still out given the first night role block. I can't see Santa in any more or less logical combination with revealed roles as mafia.

The mailman? Where's the logic - as stated if the recipients die, you could make a case, but that's not what happened.

The songselector? Unlikely, but.... of course we always hear the songs while we discover the bodies. Is that a subtle clue from the mod??

I like making my night choices. As do you. You hear the songs during the opening post because naturally, that' where you're going to hear them. Where else would you expect a night choice to appear? During a vote count?

Well, this leaves me with a dilemma. On one hand, Santa

still alive, and with him being the avatar of the holiday and all you could argue that that means Christmas was saved, but the fact is that dear old Santa was a bit crazy.

I mean, if you were going to go on a killing spree, why wouldn't you start with the source of all those awful Christmas-themed songs? Time to put something more appropriate on:

Very impressive win there, after claiming SK the day before (!) MeMe managed to slip through in the confusion over where exactly the mafia were...

Mom and Dad were fed up with the commercialisation of Christmas and had decided to kill everyone (except their child)

Santa was the Serial Killer, who was immune to his first death (lynching or mafia/vigilante kill), but after that would have become exposed for who he really is and this protection would fail. Santa could also be exposed if he sent a card to someone because of the mailman.

The Weatherman could choose to roleblock or kill someone at night,

unless

there was a song about Santa on the radio, in which case his powers are weakened to nothing and roleblock respectively. So that's why nobody was blocked Night 1.

good game MeMe. As for the set-up, I liked it. And the no alignment on death was an advantage for me (If coron turned up as mafia on night 1, I would have had a harder time convincing the town (and HM) that I was not aligned with dad). The santa role was strong, immunity to getting killed the first time, the santa/cop claim.

And I did see Santa! Though I was trying to kill Meme.

Anyways, it was great fun to play :}

non-alignment reveals. Like I said, even on that last day I couldn't be sure if both of you were safe to lynch.

I understand why DoomCow didn't lynch Xanthe...but it was confusing the heck out of me before.

The fact that Crola claimed to have blocked me worked to my advantage (both in getting him lynched and in getting me "cleared" as SK), but it felt unfair to me.

Oh well -- I'll take the win anyway.

Now everyone -- please stop giving me the SK role!
