Every time one of these stalls out (which is invariable), I'm reminded of the monster that I created in this. It was my greatest crime against mishmash.

I created the story-based rumble. And then mine stalled out after about a month after spawning, like, 4 others. All of them died out, all due to mod abandonment. Kloud's Kingdom Keepers was easily the longest lasting, but there's just too much work involved in keeping these running. (and yet every once in a while, i want to start another one, and spend a good week planning it before deciding to scrap it before it hits the sign-up stage)

That doesn't surprise me, Cybele - the modified Roll to Dodge game I moderate with theplague42 is a heavy creative commitment, and the rules of that are vastly simpler than those of a Rumble. Maybe if I had a server which ran the numbers automatically so all I needed was to add flavor I could run a story-based Rumble like this, but not otherwise.
