Jets losses. 14 of them. They split with Buffalo and beat a team late in the season who is injured to hell.

Yeah, generally there are fewer than 22 teams that go .500 or better each year.

Patriots wins. Jets management is trying to get the #1 seed, so in typical Jets fashion, that kinda disrespect is going to fuel the players to like 4-12 or 5-11 and like the third QB off the board instead, while I have the over/under for the Patriots win total at 13.5.

Don't forget, the Jets early schedule gives them the Bills, Jags and Browns in the first 5 games of the season. and the other two are against Oakland (who're clearly favored, but have a QB coming off a major injury) and the Dolphins (who have Jay Cutler at QB) - while they're clearly trying to tank, the players could get a chip on their shoulder and go into Week 6 against the Patriots with a winning record - and it's not beyond the realms of possibility they could win all of their first 5.

The Jets defense is going to be relatively effective this season I'm feeling, but our offense is going to be even more awful than our defense will be good. Chances are any game we win, we'll win with 17 or less points on the board.

it's hard for me to make predictions with not having been paying attention the past 2 years, but I always root for a Steelers vs. Eagles superbowl where the Eagles win their first ever, and it'd be quite a statement against the current Steelers team

That's pretty much why I think they could win any number of the first five - the Bills, Jags and Browns all have issues on offense, and the Jets D is good enough to shut them down, so all they need is like 2 or 3 decent offensive series or defensive scores to be in with a shot of winning those games. Oakland has a pretty good offence, but we haven't seen Carr back in real game action, and after a serious injury, there's always a possibility of it getting in his head and ruining him like getting sacked so often did his brother. As for the Dolphins, it's always a coin-flip which Jay Cutler shows up and if they get the Bad Jay Cutler and he throws a casual 5 int game, then that's a potential wing based on defence, too. Not saying that will win all of them, but going 3-2 or 2-3 over that period isn't that much of a stretch, which would be a reasonable set up for a 4-12 or 5-11 season.

Carr is going to be fine. If Oakland was even remotely worried they wouldn't have signed him to a $100+ million extension without seeing him in action.

I think to have a chance at winning the Chiefs need 4 sacks and a +1 turnover margin.

The loss isn't what's really disappointing, it's just how poor the defense looked and off-sync the offense looked.
