No, a scum who doesn't need to be lynched for town to win.
"What if all the mafia are killed?". What do you think? Town wins, that's what.
And why would scum NK him anyway?
I meant more the 'mislynch' part, which means he turns town correct? So if all the other mafia are killed, he loses. I get that. But, the NK was in reference to a vig/SK kill... I guess it fulfills his objective of drawing attention away from mafia...
So, he's almost a 'mafia jester'?
"It's not a logical inconsistency. B can't be correct because then C would be, but it doesn't go the other way - there's nothing wrong with C being correct. Aside from Twomz saying otherwise." --Mith

Whoops, I guess I shouldn't head into Mafia discussion without finishing my first game...
The truth is I only considered that role in an F11 setup. And he doesn't turn town when killed: when I said mislynch, I meant that he is considered one because there's no point in lynching him.
Now that you made me look up "mafia jester", I guess he's just like the jester except his alignment, which is mafia. Sorry for the confusion.
Putting that role in a 9-player game (w/2 Mafia) would be cruel and unusual. Town could win with a single lynch, including Day One by pure accident! Essentially it's more like giving everyone an extra Night, and reducing the endgame numbers for Mafia majority by one (assuming that he does count for endgame, which your role isn't entirely clear about).
This is my brainchild and I use it in all the games I mod:
You are the
MERCENARY
. You have no special abilities until you are hired. You are hired by the first player who (insert conditions here). Once you are hired you gain a PM with that person, a one-shot version of their role power, and win conditions that mirror their own. In the event that you are not hired you win by being alive at the game's conclusion.
The hiring conditions are left up to the mod, one's I've used are unvoting for the mercenary, mentioning the mercenary's name, and having them be hired by the person that makes the fiftieth post.
The role power part is self-explanatory,and the "mirrored win conditions" means that they become mafia if hired by a mafia member, ect...
I learned that I don't like replacing into games on this site, I don't like games without themes, and I don't like games without roles. It's good to learn these things early.

While I like the role, you should never have a role that you use in all your games unless it's vanilla.
Once per Night you can investigate a player to learn his alliance by pming the mod his username and the result you believe you will find. And the end of that Night if your result does not match your prediction you will shamefully quit your job as a cop.
*
I think it helps balance the cop by making it impractical to scan those who the cop cannot read. It works best when confirming one's suspicions.
A variation would be denying the incorrectly predicted result to the cop, but logical deduction would still help though the possibility of third party could still confuse.

Predict: Town
Other Possibilities: Neutral, Scum
Predict Scum:
Other Possibilities: Town, Neutral
Predict Neutral:
Other Possibilities: Town, Scum
etc.
*Takes a Bow* I used this role. Though they received innocent or guilty.

Also, the mod disappeared so he was never able to tell us.
"I think they are innocent" - Correct (Mafia Godfather) - "You are correct, you received an innocent investigation"
"I think they are innocent" - Wrong (Mafia Goon) - "You are wrong and your role has been removed".
In dethy it would mean assuming half the people are wrong then you have less of the puzzle element and more of the scum hunting.

I would think Perfectionist would HAVE to be optional, to make it remotely fun. Any Town Power Role's power should be optional, IMO, it just usually doesn't make sense for them to skip (cue Doc in Prisoner's Gambit situation). This time, it does make sense.
