Actually I asked MeMe whether it was normal or theme, and she said yes. I assume that means it's normal. I was actually hoping it'd be theme because the queue is shorter...

I'd consider Deep South as theme (special mechanic).

Deep South is not so strange a mechanic as to prevent a game from being run in the normal queue, just like I wouldn't consider a game with mandatory two week deadlines a non-Normal game.

emptyger and Meme have both told me that Deep South counts as a Theme mechanic. I disagree. I ran Crackers! (semi-open, deep south) as a large Theme for that reason.

MeMe clarified her answer for me, and she says it counts as normal in the mini queue as long as there are no special mechanics. However she had no problem with it when I asked whether i could run it as a theme.

Ouch. I'll take a look at it hp. Last game I saw with no vanillas scared the crap out of me, and I was glad I wasn't in it. Hopefully this one scares me less.
