I think there would be, Cad. Could make for some interesting role dynamics, with the place of honor in that society, if you wanted to go that far with it...
Would I ever ! There are indeed a lot of interesting role dynamics.
One problem could be inadequate knowledge of the theme though, since I'm planning on using all the official terms. This could be solved by creating some sort of reference on my domainname.

Would people be interested in playing in an "undead mafia" as a mini theme game?
The idea is that there will a lot of mechanics that can bring dead people back to life or otherwise involve dead people in the game. A side effect of that is that people's roles will not be revealed upon death; however, their full role will be revealed once a person passes to the Other Side (and thus can not ever be raised from the dead), so the town will always have some information to go on.
Also, if anyone would be willing to review the game for me, or possibly be interested in being a co-mod (this being my first attempt to mod a game), please let me know.

I can't believe no one has done a Wallace & Gromit mafia yet (or were you just waiting for me to run one because of my avatar?).
If I'm able to come up with enough roles to make it a normal-sized one, W&G definitely deserve that, but I could make it a mini as well. No previous modding experience, so when I'm ready, I'd appreciate the help of a co-mod.
Haven't really had time to think things through yet, so I'm not sure I can say I claim the idea, but if anyone's thinking of running one, I'd like to be involved.
More to come in the setup review thread when I've had time to look at things.

If you can't find enough characters for Wallace & Gromit Mafia, you could always do an Aardman Mafia. Then you'll definitely have enough characters to choose from.

Oooh, I wanna be Morph!
edit: That game should probably feature an arsonist. :/

You know how ideas just kind of hit you at the oddest times?
Numa Numa Mafia - mini theme. Thinking about signing up to mod it after Smalltown is done. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just getting acquainted with the subject is fun enough.
(the non-glowy-butts version ) is nearly complete (roles are done, now I'm just writing role PM's, flavor text, etc), and I have a co-mod/backup lined up (our soon-to-be fellow American Talitha ). It's going to be a 20-player Theme Park game, and I'm ready to begin if/when there's enough interest and we have room for it. Knowledge of the TV series is helpful but not necessary (I'll be providing links to websites with episode summaries and cast lists).

hello all. i have a 33 player middle eastern mafia, you think anyone would go for that? i havent had anyone review it yet, because its probably going to be a long time before i actually put it into motion, but if anyone would be interested, i would be happy to send you the setup.
Dude, totally in to play firefly mafia. I was about to suggest the same thing, though I've done no work on an actual set-up.
I'm considering more than one idea for my next themed mini. Would there be any interest in Isaac Asimov's Foundation? I'm also considering something rather self-explanatory called Lynch or Lose Mafia, which may not be based on sound game design principles, but I'd be willing to run if there was enough interest. Another idea that just popped into my head would be to do something based on the animation of Amy Winfrey, the creator of Muffin Films, Big Bunny, and Making Fiends.

I don't think there's an official minimum. All you need is to get the setup approved; this thread is only to guauge whether there looks like there'll be enough interest to fill the game up.
I think it's pretty clear that TSS's awesomeness did alter the roles each of us recieved, and thus he's obviously pro-town. -- Save The Dragons
Would anyone be intrested in a Rookie mafia, a theme game based on people who have been on the site for a year or less?
