For the record, after the third clue I just brute-forced it. It doesn't cut you off after a number of attempts, it just makes you put in (rather difficult) human verification codes after your fifth retry.

Oh, and in regards to what Lambda said, if we ever manage to conclusively prove the killer's identity (which should be our goal if we're planning on a win), then that plan goes completely out the window. It still wouldn't work anyway since the killer can choose if he appears in the list at all or not. Even then, we don't even get to see the list, which throws out our only real source of information. I say keep it as it is, although I would point out that having the killer in your alliance would be a rather large boon... towards losing. The alliance that includes the killer would probably be able to eliminate all the other team's members except for one or two, which the killer then tries to keep until the end of the game to mess with the jury. tl;dr: Having alliances makes it MUCH LESS likely that we'll win at all, so you probably don't want to do it. Maybe two-person pairings, but anything more than that will probably cost us the match. Actually, two-person pairings wouldn't help too much either, as they'd make it far too easy to have it degenerate into two opposing sides which, as I just explained, leads to an almost certain loss. No, we have to go at it as every-scummer-for-themself, which eliminates Lambdadelta's troubles.

When you say "excluding JDGA" you mean, we put his name in our list, but his point tally auto defaults to 0, correct?

Couldn't JDGA or ourself be the killer? It'd be more interesting if the killer submits a list and automatically nominates himself to create confusion. Otherwise we'd basically know who the killer is after a couple nomination ceremonies since everyone who was nominated is clearly not the killer.

Well, you won't be nominating yourself, I'll assume. As for nominating JDGA, its mainly for my own ease of calculating the results. I guess there is nothing stopping you from putting him on your list, but he won't be taken into account for a nomination. And yes, the killer can be nominated like anyone else.

The nominations aren't determined by how well you know the killer, but who the majority thinks is the killer. The three players who get the highest "score" from how I calculate the nominations are nominated. The higher a player is on a list, the higher the score they get.
