I haven't got a read on Aelita right now because I don't think they've posted much? For a bond to actually work, at least one person needs an actual read on the other person.

Yes, but without firm reads I can't see an agreement being made.

One player has to be able to trust the other with an enhanced action, while losing their own, otherwise neither player gets an action. That means 1 player has to townread the other, but it doesn't have to be reciprocated. In fact, you could scumread a player and still bond with them, as if you fail to reach an agreement or are the active, you are essentially roleblocking them. But you need a read or it's not worth doing imo.
