Yeah, I pretty much figured we were screwed if Johnny was scum. This game is a good example of how important it is not to give off scum vibes as town.

and Pasch I did feel a fair bit of guilt that you were town reading me so hard but I had to play to my wincon...

HD's shots were both phenominal and the town that played well in this game really played well. Pasch, Don, Dashie, and Varsoon all did decently well. (You should have seen me panic in the scum thread when Dashie joined) The sticking points for this town were the scummy players. Viomi, Mac, bubba, and rmpeacoc made it easy for us to skate by unnoticed.

I'm happy though. Still undefeated.

If Viomi haddent melted down at the end of D3 town would have won this because after a Mac lynch I would have absolutely annihilated RM giving the wiggle room needed to even mislynch Viomi. That or if I got here before Varsoon (still stunned it happened) got mislynched. I mean, that kill was basically a "he is town" neon sign.

Next time I need to trust my initial gut with this game, im getting decent at being able to pick stuff out due to common behavior patterns. Happy about completely nailing the RM/rmp/Pasch reads instantly though.

Actually like I said, it was your "twilight day one" posts that made me ready to lock on which I talked about manely.

Having played this a few times from both sides (yay for actually being alive post D1 scum kill as town for once - technically) there are mindsets that are hard to fake. Like how Viomi basically was antagonizing Sal while you were being suddenly much more careful with him. Sure Viomi basically responded to D3 pressure with "im going to throw away my vote now and stop giving reads", but yeah.

yeah Viomi has had a lot on her plate in RL and I figure that was part of why she reacted like she did. I have played with her as Chrimi a few times, and usually she has a more level head. I do hope she gets the go ahead for the hormone treatments cause I know how important the operation is to her.

Yeah, the game had thirteen players when it's only supposed to have twelve: 9 townies, 1 vig, and 2 goons.

Given that I think town is 1 for 7 or so... its scumsided. I realized that though, think it was anumber error that was never noticed.

The crux is the D1 dilemma, I think if you actually removed the venge aspect of the game town win rate would increase slightly, but really you are creating essentially a 3:6 nightless game, something that is going to be heavily town sided by nature. Scum get to remove (up to) two players, town have three mislynches to start.

Realistically I think this is a paradox of a popular game that actually isn't remotely balanced. When you have one where town has NEVER won without scum being lynched/vengekiled the first day, and scum have clean swept over half the games, something is wrong.
