I'd like to
nominate Thok for the Don Corleone award
for his play in mith's CTIII game.

It wasn't until the end that I realized what an absolutely stellar job he'd done (and I was on his team!). He was completely under everyone's radar; so far under in fact that several players hasn't even mentioned his name in thread (see this post). His kill was a strategy decision and came about via a mechanic in the game, but had he survived to endgame he would have been impossible to pin anything on and I have no doubt he would have won.

Typically they're set for the same day as the Oscars.
I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.

Looks like I don't stand a chance of having malt's nomination seconded. That does kinda make sense though, thinking on it :P.

I'm pretty sure that's the implication of "we don't pay attention to fourthing, fifthing, or Nthing of nominations".

That means if I want to win a prize I have to spam like hell ;)

I thought they didn't count fourthing onwards was just because that wouldn't make a difference

Oh, that's not how I read that at all. In previous years there have been fifths, sixths, sevenths, which just spam up the thread. Mith's point is that it doesn't add anything to the nomination to have those vocal supports.

If he's said that thirds are required or the Scummy Planning Team has decided something else, that's cool.

Flay is correct, though in practice games/players/whatever with only a single nomination are typically eliminated quickly unless one of the judges makes a strong case for them.

Nominations will close in about two weeks.
I've mostly got the judges selected, and will probably be setting up the forums for them Monday so that they can get started.

It's an awards system with nominations made by the general public, and judges drawn from the general public given no clear, objective standards by which to judge.

Of course it's a popularity contest.

Advertising yourself is in poor taste, but sometimes it's better to do that if you believe you deserve a nomination that nobody has thought of. *kisses that one goodbye*

Where does mith get his judges from, anyway?
Seriously. Read your role PM before playing.
I am sorry if you have to prod me, I have absolutely no concept of time.

My prefered pronoun set is "cie/cir/cirs[elf]" but they is more than acceptable.
