Story

Taormina, August 22nd 1907,

You have read it in the newspaper, likely. Otherwise, you have heard it from relatives perhaps. You haven’t heard about it, you say? The mafia? You must know what they’re up to! They already control the Palermo region and they want the whole of Sicily. Next up, Taormina. The lovely town you live in. It is August the 22nd 1907 and Don Vitorino has entered the town. Your town is small, the Church doesn’t have many attendants, the Theatre hasn’t been used for years and the Primary School is actually the only public building with regular activity. You wouldn’t want that activity to cease, would you?

Luciano Maccarone was walking down the street some time after the sun had set and it was a full moon so he would be able to see very well this night. He would need it. He turned left through the woods (he didn’t live in the town itself) as he was on his way downtown. The Hippocratic oath demanded from him that he would do everything in his grasp to prevent people from dying… if he could he protect more people! He was so busy with thinking about the night to come that he didn’t notice the other man on the opposite side of the street… it would prove to be fatal. Two shots in the chest killed Luciano (a.k.a. Leonardo007) but the gunman wasn’t happy yet, bam! A shot between the eyes made sure the doctor of Taormina would never cure someone again.
