Boost mafia takes place in a village of 18 people. The location, the time period, even the dimension is unknown, but that certainly hasn't made it a scum-free area. You don't know what you have crawling around at night, but you can all feel the evil amongst you, even without any murders so far. People barricade their front doors at night and avoid going outside after dark; it's been this way for some time now.

The morning of the start of our game is pretty chilling for many of you. Your front doors have all had red crosses painted on them, and most of your livestock are found dead, though strangely not one has any visible injury. This place is isolated from anywhere else; the evil must come from within. What's more, it has to be destroyed. To help with this, you can mix together some of the village's secret potion, put together with rare herbs, alot of willpower and usually energy from the soul of some recently passed away life form. Similar in concept to this but different in formula, this stuff might be the key to ridding your town of fear it's been gripped with for months. It has the power to make you stronger, more intelligent, more agile, and possibly help you channel your inner strength more effectively. Each day 1-3 people can have a taste, but take great care who you trust with it; it doesn't differentiate between good and evil.

Standard Rules


1.) This game is a day start. Day 1 will start when everyone has confirmed by PM.
2.) During the day you can vote for a player that you think should be lynched. Votes should be in the form
Vote: Player
, but I'll count votes if the intention is clear and there's bolding/some attempt at bolding. Unvotes before registering a new vote are helpful but not required. Note that any attempts at fake votes will be frowned on, and most likely counted anyway. Don't try it.
3.) When a player reaches a majority of votes, they are lynched. I will reveal their role, and the game will move into night. Players can still talk during twilight.
4.) This game has automatic 4 week deadlines. They won't be extended unless something strange happens.
5.) No talking to other players, dead or alive, outside of the thread, unless your role permits it.
6.) Once dead, you stop posting. A bah post is fine though.
7.) If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
8.) Anyone not posting for 48 hours is proddable, though I'll sometimes wait until 72 hours depending on circumstances. Players who fail to post promptly after being prodded may be replaced. I also reserve the right to replace people who are within activity limits but who are trying to find loopholes, but that's only for extreme circumstances and I hope not to have to use it.
9.) I'll try to post votecounts as often as possible. Feel free to ask for a votecount at any time. Disappointingly, I may make mistakes. Point them out very gently.
10.) Avoid excessive profanity, flaming etc.
11.) Don't quote or fakequote your role PM. Don't quote any PMs from the mod. Any of these are potentially modkillable offences.

Special Notes


Every day in addition to lynching, you have to vote for 1-3 players to be boosted. You can do this by posting
Boost: Player
, and unvotes and revotes are allowed just as with normal lynching. Players may cast up to 3 boosting votes (since you can boost up to 3 players) but may not cast more than one vote for any one player. The town can't choose to boost the same person 2 or 3 times during any single day. Self-boosting is not allowed.

If someone reaches a lynching majority before anyone has been boosted that day, nothing happens and they can be unvoted or receive additional votes as usual. If the deadline hits without any boosts having been given out, one player will be boosted at random and the player with the most lynching votes will be lynched (if tied, the person who got there first is lynched).

Note that if someone is boosted during the day, the effects only kick in when night comes. Equally if boosts can take place during the night, the effects only kick in the following day.

People are free to ask me any questions they want, but note that any ambiguity (especially in role PMs) is usually deliberate. Also, don't try to discern alignments based on any names that may appear in scenes; it's just flavour.

Below is a sample role PM. At least one of these exists in the game:

You win when all anti-town roles are eliminated.

Day 1 begins, with a deadline for the 13th of July (time of day to be given nearer the time). With 18 alive, it's 10 to lynch/boost.

Note that Porochaz may have no access until the 20th due to his holiday.

The rules in the first specify that a player cannot boost himself. There is no such clause in the rules for this game, so I'd assume that you could.
I'm such a good lover because I practice a lot on my own.
