1) The object in question may be anything in the universe, though nothing too obscure (a minor character from some indie movie, a specific mathematical theorem, etc.)
2) Obviously, no stupid questions such as "does it smell like a fart" or something of the sort. Yes or no questions only.
3) Only the winner of the previous round can decide who becomes the next question wizard (QW; either themself or whoever posts next). If no one is able to guess the object, then the QW has the choice of either retaining his role or handing it over to someone else.
(a) No one may be QW for more than two consecutive rounds.
(b) If a QW violates rule #8, and as a result no one is able to guess the item, they MUST forfeit their position immediately.
4) Twenty questions, twenty answers. Preliminary guesses count as one question. Hints may be given by the QW only if they are asked for one; it is up to the QW whether or not hints count as one answer.
5) After 20 questions have been answered, 3 guesses are allowed.
6) Should the QW not post within 72 hours, then the rank shall be handed over to whoever posts next.
7) If your object is a person, a hint must be given (e.g. "historical figure", "musical figure", "prominent woman", etc.).
8) Know your object well, QW's. Answering a question erroneously (even unintentionally) is pretty bad etiquette.
9) It would be helpful if the QW posts a list of answers every time a new question is posted. Example:
etc.Poster B wrote:No.Poster A wrote: Is it bigger than a pillow?
1. It is not a living thing.
2. It is manmade.
3. It is not bigger than a pillow
10) Basically, all these rules are rather common sense, and the unspoken rules of 20Q written out.

Due to my being a deadbeat, I will have to put the updating of the game record into stasis mode.
