@UncertainK: I said it was "kind of ironic".

@FishyTheF: because it sounds like he was worried about being too defensive. Why are you defending him before he explains it himself? Isn't that what you jumped on me for doing earlier? Also, you should check and see if your book has a new edition. Or stop using a book, and start using your gut.

Well, all I know is that I've seen you as disinterested town more than once, particularly when you get vanilla. Therefore, I think you'd be inclined to take scum since you would see it as more "fun". You don't happen to have some of these SEVERAL TIMES do you?

@DDD - I think Troll has proven very successful as a scum player in the past and wouldn't mind the challenge. Why do you think he'd take town?

Gut is good, but I like my book too, thanks. Posting without point is something I think scum do more, because they want to look like they are contributing.

I'm criticising your attack because I think it's rubbish. There's nothing in his short, factual response to a short, factual question that "sounds like he was worried about being too defensive". Whereas what I jumped on you for doing is making a very vague comment about an attack which you didn't know the meaning of, with no protown purpose that I can think of.

Obviously, you don't "know the meaning" of my fos of nico ("I can't think of any purpose" etc). Have fun ice skating on hypocrisy lake. Vagueness is often honesty, and honesty is pro town.

F U MS!

@UK - Sure, but aren't you more likely to draw vanilla than a PR as town?

As far as the role PM thing, if that's true then I forgot. I thought we picked our sides without seeing it, but I admit to not looking at the PM that closely.

I think FishyTheF needs some votes too. He makes points that sound like things he often uses as town, but they don't really jive with reality and he's avoiding backing away from them.

Firstly, accusations of hypocrisy are just saying that something you did isn't scummy because someone else did it. It's attacking the player rather than defending the argument. It's an irrelevance if I commit a scumtell I also use, and a terrible defense/argument.

Secondly, there simply is no hypocrisy here, however you try to play with words. What I am attacking you for is:
a) making a pointless comment on Parama, when it was unclear what he was saying.
b) making a bad attack on Nico
You haven't given me any reasons why you made that comment on Parama, and I'm not remotely convinced by your comments on Nico - your interpretation of his posts simply doesn't make any sense.

What is it that you think is hypocritical in my play? Do you have anything to add about either of the things I find scummy about you?

Well, I can at least see the point you're trying to make now. I rescind my call for votes on you

However, you are still basing your argument on a) your "tell" about scum making pointless posts and b) disagreeing with my read of Nico's posts. Neither jive with proper tell theory.

Obviously I know he can be dangerous as scum, but personally I think his attitude is part of what Oj posted "Besides, solving>pulling a leg. " Just seems to me that'd he'd rather be solving the puzzle than engaging in subterfuge if given a choice.

I should've figured people would be using meta arguments in this game. I'm going to break tradition and not use meta at all because scumhunting is more successful when you focus on just the game at hand.

List of people who have already used a meta argument and the number of times:
DGB - 1
VP Baltar - about 100
DDD - 1
UK - 1
farside - 2
Llama - 2

I have yet to read a post by VP that I like. I just get a terrible gut feel from every one of his posts, and the logic is shallow, almost like he's not trying.

for ongoing game shenanigans.

Oj-I chose town because I am way better at it than scum, mostly because I'm decent at behavior analysis and figuring out sense from the night actions provided once it gets down to a massclaim (although that applies more to Epicmafia than here)

Jack-Plenty of people have already asked this but since you haven't ever actually ANSWERED it whyyyyy would you see Other:Non-hostile and immediately think of cult? It sounds way more like survivor or something like Tar's Dreaming God or Vi's Moychendaiser.

First post of the game, and I don't like it - because it's directly about others' perceptions/assumptions about him. In my opinion, non-town have more reason to worry about the meta WIFOM part of this game than town so to start out by immediately addressing that is a concern.

Subsequent posts also raise flags:
