Fundamental
1. Remember that this is a game. As such, you must play to win and also to have fun. If you believe there is a conflict between the two, it's an error in my setup design and I will be happy to work with you on the issue or, if all else fails, to replace you with someone who sees no such conflict.
2. Unless it is explicitly stated in your role PM that you can do so, do not communicate with anyone outside this thread. Even then, only communicate in the manner your role PM states you that you may.
3. Do not quote any communication you have with me, the moderator of the game. Depending on the circumstance, you may be able to paraphrase things I have sent you (for example, you may paraphrase Role PMs). If you are unsure feel free to ask me via PM.
4. I'm sometimes make mistakes mistakes. If you believe I have made one, feel free to send through a PM and tell me what you think is wrong.
5. Rudeness and blatant personal attacks are allowed.
6. While there are no set deadlines, they will be set at my discretion.

Voting, lynching, and deadlines
8. For your vote to be counted, it must be bold, and in the form
##Vote: playername
. The ## makes it a thousand times easier to find votes for me when I'm making votecounts. While I may count your vote even if it does not have the pound signs, you do so at the risk of your vote not being noticed. Do not use this rule to attempt fakevotes.
9. Although it is not necessary, it is very much appreciated if you could unvote before changing your vote. Again, unvotes must be bold to count. Similarly, unvotes should be
##Unvote
.
10. A lynch will occur at 51% of the votes (a majority). Nolynch requires 50% of the votes.
11. At a deadline, rule ten will still be in play. If there is not a majority, then nobody will be lynched and night will begin.
12. If a majority occurs, then the game enters 'twilight', where all living players are allowed to freely converse (but no votes during twilight will be counted) until I lock the thread and post a death scene.
13. Once you are dead, you are free to make one "bah" like post, but nothing more.

Activity
14. Treat this game as a commitment, and try your best to stay active. If you will be unable to participate for a period longer than 3 days, please PM me or post in thread.
15. Failure to remain active throughout the game will result in your replacement. Try to post at least once every 72 hours.
16. All nights will have a preset deadline, which can be extended at my discretion.

Special theme-specific rules
17. Players may be infected.
18. An infected player does not know that he is infected.
19. An infected player's infection status is revealed when they die.
20. An infected player will die two day/night cycles after the infection began.
21. If an infected player targets someone else, they become infected as well.
