Open Games are Normal Mafia games in which the setup is known to the Players before the game starts. For a summary of the rules for this Waiting List, see the Rules Summary section below.

Modding a 5 player Vengeful will not count towards your mod requirements

Rules Summary:

Players

In order to join a forming game, simply post in this thread saying "/in for GAMENAME". If you do not have a preference for which setup you play in, you may just post "/in" and you will be placed in whichever game fills first.

There is currently no limit for the number of games you may play at the same time. However, keep the following in mind before signing up:

1. Consider your schedule before signing up for any game. A single game of Mafia on the forums will take months to finish.
2. Read any available information on the game or game type before joining a game. Some games have specific rules or requirements that you may not be able to satisfy.
3. Know your limits. Don't sign up for more games than you can handle. You are expected to be involved in your games, not just post meaningless comments every few days.

Moderators

In order to join the Moderator Waiting List for Open Games, simply post "/in to Mod". If you do not specify that you wish to Moderate, it will be assumed that you want to play.

When you sign up to Moderate, you will not be tied to a particular setup, but instead when it is your turn you will take the next full game.

The sole responsibility for Moderators of Open Games is to manage the game. This includes sending Role PMs, keeping frequent Vote Counts, and prodding/replacing Players as set out in the Game Rules.

Moderators may write "flavor" in the form of death scenes, keeping in mind that these should take place in a Mafia setting and should not give away any information that the Players should not have.

A game usually takes a week or two, depending on how big a playerlist is. I'm not expecting the list to move up to me until close to winter, so you should be preparing to mod before spring, hopefully.

Vengeful Mafia (Open 234) finished with a Mafia win in a whopping record time of only 3 hours and 49 minutes.

Edit: To clarify it is the fastest non-marathon game by time, and the 4th shortest Mini Game with only 60 posts.
