I had a feeling you might say that.

(I can't remember where that rule was. Maybe the wiki page?)

On a semi-related note, are the judges going to have to read through 240+ pages of assorted spending, warring, and politic'ing? That could be... interesting...

Well as the MishMash categories have never been awarded, who knows?

But it depends on the judge and the length of whatever's being judged.

No, it's unlikely the judges will. They'll probably read enough to try and get a sense of the game and what it takes, but I highly doubt anyone will read it all. If you want to make it easy on the judges, include a list of things you'd like them to look at specifically.

It's based on...

  • How you run the game
  • Game Mechanics
  • How well you ran the game

Something like those, right?
I blame you for this.

I'd like to include the trial in there, and CSL recommended the detailed updates and frequency (When a war is going on, 1 update a day, and sometimes several!)

And the bird flu. The epidemic rate and the spread was very realistic, especially considering the geography.

Nominate AurorusVox's RPG Mafia for Best Setup, Best Flavor Text,
and maybe
Smooth Operator
.

The game was extremely fun, incredibly well-thought-out, and pretty innovative, in my opinion. The flavor was beautiful and incredibly detailed, and even had personalized death PMs. AV was mostly on-time with the votecounts (the only reason he wasn't entirely on-time is because of the very rapid pace of the game; it's double the length of most minis :P), had timely prods, fast replacements, and was quick to explain things people were questioning.

Maybe someone else can explain it better, but it definitely is a worthy game of nomination. Extremely fun, a good read, and well worth the time put in.

N+2nd for best flavour text

May be worthy of the other two as well, I don't think I can know.

I actually think it's N + 4thed with izak's vote. It probably is deserving of multiple awards, is this allowed?

It can be considered for whatever awards are appropriate. Winning multiple Scummies is not uncommon for players (there's more player-awards than mod-awards)

yeah. if you think a game deserves multiple awards, nominate it.

Flay: have there been many instances of a single game winning multiple mod awards?

Looking over the Scummies pages, I don't see where a mod/game has ever won two awards in the same year, actually.

yeah, i'm not surprised. the only category that I would have thought remotely likely was something involving best role.

I don't think we've ever had someone win both of the "big two" either, though I think this year may be different.
