Mini Game 16

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Wed Oct 09, 2002 8:08 am

The sky is tearing, the earth is trembling, the seas are turning to blood. Horrifying epidemics rack humanity and starvation is everwhere. The end times are, quite clearly, nigh.
Throughout these terrible times, you have been visited by compelling dreams, crying for you to search for your Lord at the top of Mount Sinai. In the end the dreams, pulling directly at your soul, become to much to resist, and you set out for a long and ardous journey.
But somehow, you manage, and at last you arrive at the summit, panting in the thin air, the cold clawing at your flesh. You look around... and see only eleven other travelworn pilgrims. No Messiah here, that you can see.
You are bitterly disappointed and confused, but also utterly exhausted, so you stumble off to find some hollow or other shelter to spend the night in.
Maybe the night will bring clarity.

The Living

BigFella, Disciple
CaptainBlicero, Disciple
Koru, Seeker
Mackay, Messiah
mith, Disciple
Orakel, Disciple

The Dead

Polotet, Seeker, killed by the Anti-Christ
cuban smoker, Minion of the Beast, lynched
eillid, Seeker, killed by the Anti-Christ
quercitron, Anti-Christ, banished
Lucresia, Minion of the Beast, dead
Corsato, Minion of the Beast, dead

Nah... because of the way the PM system works, I can see when someone reads my message. Also, due to the rather short time between start and finish of the sign-up for this game, no one should have changed their mind, so simply reading the message should suffice as confirmation.

Incidentally, only
BigFella
and
Kieron
have yet to check their inboxes.

Well Orakel,
unless you are currently in the land-down-under, you've got a long way to travel before you can bash ME over the head.
Even longer than this pilgrimage.

And while I'm here, I'm also confirming.

I e-mailed Kieron 18 hours ago... I'll give him a further six, then I'll contact the next person on the Minigame list, that being Corsato.

Hmm. Now I'm tempted to give up on him early :). Still, I'll give him another two - two and a half hours at least (at that point, it will have been twentyfour hours since BigFella confirmed).

As you wake from your cold and uncomfortable sleep in various hollows in the ground, you stand up and look around, something you immediately regret. Laying next to the ashes of his campfire are Polotet's remains, most of his internal organs apparently having been ripped out (judging from his face, though, it appears that he died from fright before the mutilation took place).
Such horror could only be the work of one creature: the Beast itself!

Polotet, Seeker, is dead. 6 to lynch.

Ok, time to get this ball rolling.

Random Vote: Orakel
, with two demi-reasons.

1. For trying to whack me over the head when I was sleeping.
2. Because I know him IRL and he didn't tell me his screen name (I worked that one out with help of a few others), and HE SUCKS!
:P

I think he means the Anti-Christ. Anyway,
FOS: the Wollongong crew

Because I'm afraid they are conspiring behind our backs, trying to make disbelievers out of us all. If we kill all but one of them, we'll all be back on even terms. So...
vote: Orakel

Because with one vote already, it will be easier to finish him off.

(Edited to change the spelling to WolloNgong, and also to note I am assuming Orakel is from down under)

Bah,
vote: cuban smoker
for adding the second vote so soon. Almost no one has spoken so far, and you're already trying to get a bandwagon going? And because of geography?

I'm tempted to vote for CS as well, for obvious reasons. Why are you bandwagonning so fast?? Are you really eager to lynch someone??

Its like you guys ignore everything in a post that doesn't support your stereotypes of what Mafia behaviour is... That's called a conceptual block, and all it does is hinder your creative problem solving-skills. If you re-read what I wrote carefully (look... its not even that hard...) You'll note I gave a very good if not funny reason to vote for one of the players from Australia. If you would prefer, I'll

unvote: Orakel, vote: Mackay

or
unvote: Mackay, vote: BigFella

Does that make you feel better? I know that If I knew one of my fellow players IRL, I would have trouble not discussing the game with him/her. I am not trying to accuse anyone of anything, just being careful. Again, I reiterate, we should all be on the same
theoretical
level ground. And again, I am not accusing the Wollongong players of cheating, I obviously have no basis for that.
Rather, I am simply discriminating based on location. I've made it to Australia once, and I love it, and if there was another player here from Waterloo, I would expect you all to lynch one of us, because inside, we're all horribly and helplessly paranoid.

So, to summarize, I'm now going to
unvote: BigFella

to appease the religious fanatics on this apparently God-forsaken rock they call a pilgrimage.

I'm going to go sitdown and decide why I don't follow a non-paranoid religion like Judaism or Buddhism, or ... etc.

That'd be my other problem with it. I think it was a bad reason to vote for whichever one of them it was, unless they admitted to sharing information and being mafia or something. And now you're backtracking and everything, which doesn't make me want to change my vote. If I feel you're innocent, or feel that someone else is more likely to be guilty and lynched, then I'll change my vote. Right now, you seem most guilty of anyone in this game, from my pretty well knowledgeless state.
