This was an original ruleset before it was stolen from Vi.
Pregame:
You will be given a Role PM. Confirm by sending back your character name, please. Make sure you do not have any questions about your role before confirming.
Day:
There are no votes or lynches in this game. Instead, at any time while they are alive, each player may dayvig exactly one other player by posting
ACTION: PLAYERNAME
, where PLAYERNAME is the name of the player to be vigged and ACTION can be just about anything (make it humorous!). These dayvigs resolve instantaneously (even if the moderator is not around to resolve it immediately) and kill their target without fail. This will continue until every player has expended their shot, at which time the game will go to Night.
Night:
Night is as normal and will last for approximately 48 hours.
We, the adorable whimsical puppy, reserve the right to arbitrarily decide when the thread will be unlocked and will not honor requests to tell anyone exactly when.
Win Conditions:
In the event that a normal endgaming scenario would occur (e.g. 2 groupscum vs. 1 Town), the game will immediately be decided in favor of the largest faction alive. In the event that a tie would occur (e.g. 1 vs. 1), the faction that started with the fewest members will win; failing that, the one that shot the most scum would win; failing that, a tie will be awarded.
Activity and Deadline Information:
*If any living player has an unused dayvig ability and no dayvigs are launched in a 72-hour period,
every player that still has an unused dayvig ability will be modkilled and autolossed
.
*Players will be
modkilled and autolossed
after 72 hours of inactivity during the Day, regardless of whether they have a shot in reserve or not.
*Prods will only be issued at the beginning of Night if a player has not posted in the 24 hours prior. Each player that lives through a Night will receive a Day Start PM.
Illegalities:
As a reminder, you are not allowed to:
*talk about this game outside the thread except where expressly permitted
*impersonate the mod and/or use the mod's formatting (bolded italicized gray)
*use cryptography, invisible text, or other ways of sending robustly hidden messages
*quote your Role PM, to include using specifics about its format or time stamp to your advantage
*edit/delete posts or speak after death
*post links to QuickTopics
*do other obviously underhanded things not listed here, including things you may not think are underhanded but others will probably disagree about
*You may not attempt to somehow fake a daykill, to include attempting to shoot when you do not have one.
*You may not dayvig yourself.
*You may not dayvig dead players (if they have already been shot but not flipped before you fire, there will be no penalty and your shot will be refunded).
This ruleset is designed under the assumption that you know what is acceptable. If you aren't sure, ask. If you fall afoul of what is expected, that's your problem.
