90% determined by diving total posts by ending post (final lynch) number and a week within January seems like a reasonable solution. Either way, nominated it in the 2014 thread.

Then we're having to deal with a very large grey area and some unhappy people. "Why did my game not get in for 2013, but this one that ended like two days prior did!?"

The real reason we even leave the thread open after Jan 1 is so that any games that finished in the last week of December or so can get nominated.

If we try to do it on a case by case basis, then it's just asking for some people to be excluded because it's way too objective.

Plus, why does it actually matter if a game is judged in the following year or the previous year? Fuck, Gay Mafia II was run in 2012, didn't end until just after 2013, and it's in the running for some awards this year.
